Hi, Not sure where to post this. I get my newspaper out of a newspaper stand on Sunday mornings. It is the News & Record Greensboro paper. Before I get it I check online to see how many inserts are suppose to be in newspaper. Two weeks in a row there is only the Smart Source in paper. Are you getting Red Plum as well in your newspaper or just Smart Source. Not sure if regional or someone is taking them. Thank you Lynn

I get the News and Record last week there was no red plum in my , so I got the High Point Enterprise instead( I am in High Point and we get both papers here). If you buy them from a store, someone is probably taking them out. I went to Walgreens and the News and Record had both Smart Source and Red plum in the papers but no P and G last week.

Mine, in Wilmington, bought 4 papers two different places and was missing one in each paper

I subscribe to the N&R and I've received both inserts this week and last week.

Yes, THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM. Someone posted a thread about it recently, cant remember were and they said they received an email from New&Records stating that red plum is not sending as many inserts and normally the people that subscribe get them first. I dont agree with this but anyway, I went down the street from my house about 5 miles to another stand and guess what Red Plums were in it. So Im going to go to this stand now and hopefully they will be in there.

Subscription holders always receive inserts in their papers first. Just a bonus for being a subscription holder, I suppose. The remaining inserts printed by the insert companies are then dispersed into the non-subscription papers.

Wilmington here, i didnt get a Red Plum last week but did get one this week

No RED Plum from my favorite gas station The newspapers are stacked up inside just feet away from the all seeing eyes of the very nice cashiers- so I don't think anyone is stealing the inserts.

I have called News & Record before about missing inserts and their line is, "we only guarantee the right inserts/fliers in home delivery." I personally think it is a bait & switch b/c every week there is an estimated savings inside, but without the inserts one couldn't possibly save that much!

No Red Plum in my Washington Post this week, but over at a family members house they received theirs... inserts are all sealed in plastic, so maybe they just run out?

I bought both the B'ton Times-News and the G'boro N&R and got RP and SS inserts in both. I buy them inside my local convenience store, which has the papers near the registers. It wouldn't be easy for someone to simply swoop in and take out the inserts, but I always check the papers before I actually pay for 'em.

I've had this same problem with the W-S Journal, it does not matter whether you are a subscriber or not, our money pays for the same paper, so why shouldn't each paper have the same inserts????

We are actually paying more by not having a subscription but why pay for something you don't use. I used to have a yearly subscription with the W-S journal when the prices were reasonable for it, but now it's not worth it, so I only purchase the Sunday paper and yes I have had my share of no q inserts

Hi everyone. A few weeks ago I had this problem. I believe it was the week after Easter. I called the N&R and talked with someone about this problem. The man stated that they only get so many coupon inserts. The home subscribers get the coupons first then they are distributed around. There is no guarantee that when you buy a paper at the store that you will get the coupons. (at least thats what the guy told me) Of course I went on and told him that maybe they shouldnt post on the front page how much people can save with the coupons if they wont be put in the paper. So I guess you just have to look through the paper before you purchase it.
