Like I need another grocery store to worry about! But I really liked shopping this store when we were vacationing in NC. They had so many nice organic items of their own brand that were reasonable.

When we were in DC a few weeks ago, we stopped somewhere in northern VA and I was puzzled to see a HT -- mainly b/c I didn't think there were any in northern VA.

Monica -- do you have Wegman's? Now, there is a grocery store that I love! Mainly for the selection of items.

I sure wish we could get something other than Krogers.

Wegman's is about the only thing I miss about living in upstate NY. Oh and besides my family!! I like HT but comparing them to Wegman's....well, there just isn't a comparison there!!

We sort of have a Wegmans. It's not reasonable to go to, but if we happen to be in that area we try to hit it. I've only been twice. I loved it too!

We stayed near the one in Dulles. DH was so excited to see it.

Monica where is the HT going? I am anxiously awaiting the Wegmans being built in PG county. You know I used to work at one in Erie, PA

WATCH your mail Monica, I got a VIC card application in the mail today. I also saw a Harris Teeter being built in Rockville, right by the metro if I remember correctly!

I'm so excited for the HT coming to Columbia! I already have a VIC card from when we went to the HT in N. Va. Does anyone (monica?) know when it will be opening?

CarrieMB2, I heard it will be opening in late May, but I'm not positive. I know they are hiring now, so it can't be too much longer. I'm excited!

Hey! All you with new Harris Teeter stores. If you want to link your VIC card to a good school, I'd love to share the name and link # of our school with you. (So would lots of other schools )

You link your VIC card every August for a new year to the school of your choice. It automatically "unlinks" itself for June/July.

You'll enjoy the shop at HT Monica. They have nice stuff and the new stores are a real treat.

They just announced that they will be tearing down the Seamark Foods in Kitty Hawk, NC and building a Harris Teeter in its place. It will be nice to have a grocery store to shop in other than Food Lion. I always find neat stuff at HT, but usually more expensive.
My only worry is that this HT won't have the same sales at all the other HT. They built one a year or so ago in Nags Head, NC (which is further away from me). Every time I look at their ad online, it says "prices not valid on NC Outer Banks". If they did honor the rest of the prices, I think my head would explode trying to figure out what to do with triple coupons! That's what I got you guys for, to hold my hand and show me the path to great savings!

Watch your mail as the opening comes near, Monica! They often have $xx/xx coupons mailed out when a new store opens!!!

Hey MommySusan! Are you an OBX resident?! Gosh, we love that place! We have spent 2-3 weeks there for vacation for the past 3 years. We always hit HT on the way down to Hatteras. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be going this year since my kids are starting Kindergarten. We usually go in September/October when the weather is still pretty nice, but the prices are SO much cheaper.
