Hi,

On another site, someone is reporting that a store manager said we may have Super Doubles 11/11/09 to 11/17/09. I will report if I find out from my friend who is a Scan Coordinator at HT. Scan Coordinators are the "price people" who put out the signs, shelf tags, sale tages, etc.

They usually know by Friday the sales, etc. Hope this helps--

I hope it's true as I will stock up on the $1.00 off pork coupons! It's really hard to be low carb and want to buy things for free or near free when you can't eat any of it!

One of the ladies at the store that I shop at told me that there is not gonna be another event until after the holidays are over, so get all of your Thanksgiving and Christmas items now. I tried to get a little more info, but one of the supervisors/managers walked up the aisle and she walked away.

Funny how these rumors come and go. I remember not too long ago when they said that Harris Teeter would be having coupon events every week until after Christmas.

I was just thinking last night it would not surprise me if they do triple one week and super double the next. We can only HOPE

It sure would be nice. I've been putting boxes together for the women's shelter and that would help! I do however think my husband would strangle me if I came home with MORE!!!

I have been thinking about doing that as well. I have some stuff to go.. Maybe we could find some more VB'ers that are doing the same thing and make one BIG drop off

The best source I know for info said it is 99% sure that there will be NO super doubles next week. Sorry for the bad news, but I like to definitively know!

My guess would be that HT would not do another event until Dec which would probably be super doubles. And then we wouldn't see another until the new year. Just a guess though.

If only they would listen to us and do SD's once a month and triples once a month, none of our binders would get rediculously over stuffed LOL

hey low carb friend- i have celiac disease and can't eat wheat, malt, barley, rye or oats. it KILLS ME that the AFCers are getting cereal for so cheap when i can ONLY eat chex or gluten free stuff that costs waaaay more... not to mention the free soup, boxed potatoes, rice mixes, dannon yogurt... (my kids can't eat it, either.) i bet my food bank loves my dietary restrictions because i can't pass up free stuff when so many people are in need.

I'm also celiac and still getting tons of good deals this week. Beef, frozen fruit, honey kix (75 cent printable, makes it slightly under $1 a box), mahatma saffron rice (just not the hot n spicy, it has wheat), chocolate chips, etc. You can also have the idahoan potatoes (only certain flavors) and almond milk. There are tons of good deals still, you just have to be willing to spend a while reading labels. I stock up on frozen veggies when they are on sale and use my rice cooker and corn chips instead of super expensive gluten free bread. Celiac can be cheap, it just requires more planning and flexibility.

Oh the suspense is killing me. Should I go through my binder and plan for SD's or not??? It probably wouldn't hurt to get it ready for an SD anyway!

Any updates on this? My area seems to have gotten $1 coupons instead of lower-values coupons for a handful of the things some people are buying during triples, and I'm antsy to use them!
