I did a quick lunch break run and found the shelves fairly stocked and few fellow couponers shopping. Nothing was completely out but some stuff was getting low. I ended up putting a few things back so that I could go ahead and get the more in demand stuff and save the others for later. My total oop was 9.09 with a savings of about $60 and after I used one $3RR from walgreens I paid 4.09. I plan to go back this evening with MIL card and try my luck, then hit it again tomorrow during lunch. FUN FUN FUN!

Oh I can't wait to get off work! I wonder if there will be anything left. Sometimes, by the time I get there, they're already restocking. The last event they were stocked pretty good with being out of only one or 2 things that I wanted.

Wow! All of those OOPs are amazing. I spent a lot more. I'm a couponing newbie, so this was my first HT triples. I was so nervous....and excited. I went early...around 7:15. There was hardly anyone there. Thanks to my Dad, I got to make two trips today. Here's my list. I made a couple of mistakes...as I always do...I'm so disorganized. 3 Heinz ketchup 3 Betty Crocker frosting 4 DelMonte Green Beans 5 Scrubbing Bubbles 1 Nestle Morsels 5 Viva Big Rolls 1 French's Mustard 2 Carnation evap. milk 6 cans Swanson canned chicken 2 Pillsbury flour 1 Vlasic relish 9 Chef Boyardee 1 HT sugar 2 Newman's Own pasta sauce 2 Muellers spaghetti 1 Shout 1 pack Olay facial cloths 1 Suave deoderant 4 lbs ground beef 2 kids cuisine dinners 2 Healthy Choice dinners 3 Tony's single serve pizzas 2 Betty Crocker Voila 2 Starkist albacore tuna pouches Wow. That's a long list. Sorry to use so much room. Spent $49.42. Reg. price $163.79. Sale price $123.87. I had $75 of coupons taken off. Wow! I couldn't believe it. Thanks to everyone for all of their advice and recommendations. I couldn't have done it on my own. I am totally hooked on couponing. Going back tomorrow....love it.

I haven't seen this posted yet, but the Progresso broth is also free. (The 32 oz boxed broth). It's BOGO, so $1.34 each, with the 0.50q that was Coupons.com and Smartsource. Also pineapples here are on sale $2.99, which is a great deal with the 0.75 IP. HT always has the sweetest pineapples around here. |

Everything was well stocked at my store at 6:30 this evening. I swear there can't be more than a few couponers that shop there. The only thing I was looking for that was sold out was the evic College Inn broth, but I'm sure I can get it another time. I had to pick up a few non-coupon items, which screwed up my OOP, but I'm still pretty happy with this trip. I got: 1 BC frosting 1 Dial hand soap 1 Little Debbie 2 Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaner 2 Dawn detergent (small size) 1 Fleischmann's yeast 1 Progresso broth 1 Frank's red hot 2 Carnation evaporated milk 1 Mazola spray 1 Argo baking powder $15.26 worth of non-coupon items Coupons tendered: $30.78 Vic savings: $13.26 OOP: $19.83 So when you subtract the non-coupon items from my total, I spent $4.57 on my list for triples. Not a bad first trip. ![]() After looking at everyone else's trips today, I made a last-minute search through my binder to find some of the coupons everyone seems to be using. Why do all my coupons suck? I didn't get the .85/1 Viva coupon, for example - instead, I have a $1/2 coupon that came from the same insert. There are a few other cases where I have a coupon for the same item as others have posted, but my coupon is for over a dollar or for two items, making it a lousy deal. I'm so bummed - I got excited seeing all these deals that I hadn't spotted on my own, but it looks like I missed them because my coupons are different! |

Oh, and if you're buying Scrubbing Bubbles, Windex, or a few other SC Johnson items during triples, don't forget about the SC Johnson rebate form that's floating around! http://www.scjohnson.com/files/Rebate_Form.pdf It's a $5 rebate when you buy 3 products listed on the form (I don't think you need to buy them all in one transaction). And you can submit three per household. |

| My Triple's Trip
I got the following today: 1 Mt Olive Relish $1.79 - $.50/1 = $.29 6 Ortega Refried Beans $1.39 x 6 = $8.34 - $.75/2 x 3 = $1.59 3 Sweet Sue Chicken Pouches $2.99 x 3 = 8.97 - $75/1 x 3 = $2.22 2 Blue Diamond aseptic Almond Milk $3.59 x 2 = $7.18 - $.55/1 x 2 = $3.88 2 Blue Diamond Almonds $4.15 x 2 - $8.30 - $.75/1 x 2 = 3.80 6 Swanson Broth on BOGO $1.15 x 3 = $3.45 - $.40/3 x 2 = $1.05 2 McCormick parsley flakes $1.29 x 2 = $2.58 - $50/1 x 2 = FREE 1 McCormick Black Pepper $1.59 - $.50/1 - $.09 1 Zone Perfect bar $1.29 - $.55/1 = FREE 3 Hormel Pepperoni $2.29 x 3 = $6.87 - $.55/1 x 3 = $1.92 (wish I had the $.75 q's!) Now that I'm looking closer, two of my coupons didn't get scanned - $.40 and $.50 (probably Swanson and McCormick). But, how do you prove it? That is $2.70 that I would like to have back! ![]() before coupons/discounts = $55.61 total coupons/discounts = $33.24 tax = $.72 total = $17.84 (should've been $15.14)
