I ran in quick on my way in this morining at 7:30 because for once I was hoping to get in on the free Viva papertowels ( a really nice AFC'er shared her .85 q's with me) and I actually was able to snag some. 3 Big Rolls Viva papertowels $2.49 each = 7.47 - three .85/1 q's tripled = .20 cents OOP! ~happy dance~

I want to apologize for any inconvenience!! Some mistakes were just plain old typos I did not catch and others (like the BC warm delights) are new prices I was not aware of (btw... I am shocked! From $1.99 to $2.29). I want to add: Sar1 made a very good point in another post. Prices vary from store to store! So please keep this in mind while making shopping plans. Thank you

I just got back and my HT was pretty well stocked up. I did have an issue at the register that I will be going back this evening to try to resolve. I gave the cashier a competetors $10/$50 first and she said she couldn't take this because the total had to be $50 AFTER all coupons... WHAT??? I've used them before and they didn't say that. Needless to say, I will be back to get that straighted out. I did two seperate transactions and have two different $10/$50 and a $8/$50. I don't understand if I'm wrong or they are wrong??

OK all you people with cheap/free 9 Lives. There was NO tag stating it was on sale. I think I"m gonna go back tomorrow and have someone scan it for me. The same thing happened to my Scrubbing Bubbles. (I started a thread about that issue)

As expected, the cashiers were trained in preparation for triples today and I got the "you can only use 20 q's total" lecture. She even asked if I was using coupons before she started ringing anything up. When I said Yes, she started her lecture about 20 coupons and only 3 per like item. We had a sort-of friendly discussion about it and it turns out that she had a few meanies already this morning that insisted on doing separate transactions on the same card and 6+ of the same item. She said they were giving her a really hard time and were furious that they could only triple 20 per day. Evenually while she was still ringing me up I went over to CS and got the coupon policy board to show her that you could do more than 20, but only 20 will triple/double. Even though she started off like the coupon police I could tell she had run into the worst types of couponers and I didn't want her to think we were all like that! I also added a $5 donation card to my order, and by the end she was asking me where I got my snuggle coupons. If I'd had any left I would have given her one. So here's my trip today: 1 Reynold's Parchment - $1.20 1 BC Potato pouch - FREE 2 Dole fruit bowls in sugar-free gel - FREE 1 Progresso Broth - $0.14 1 Skippy 40 oz - $1.79 (only had the $.40/1 q )2 Carnation Evap Milk - $0.50 total 4 Campbell's cream soup - ?? can't remember what my coupon was 3 Swanson Broth - ?? can't remember what my coupon was 4 Campbell's gravy - ?? can't remember coupon 2 Swanson stock - ?? can't remember coupon 2 Mazola cooking sprays - FREE (this one's my fave deal!) 1 YoBaby yogurt - $2.49 1 Stonyfield Milk - $1.99 3 Smithfield Bacon - $4.05 total 1 HT ground beef - my $0.50/beef purchase coupon wouldn't scan. She tried and tried, but it just wouldn't scan. It didn't beep, it just didn't scan at all. I also bought 2 Snuggle, 1 Thick Worcestershire, some other groceries. Saved: $79.83!!! I can't keep track of all of the broth and stock sales, but I know that after this week I'll be set for my crockpot and winter cooking for a while! Although the shelves were really getting bare in that area already.

Certainly not the best results I've ever had on a triples trip, but got lots of stuff that I needed at a good price. 3 1.5lb. packages of ground beef @1.59/lb - (3) .50 cpns. - approx. 3.00 total 1 cascade 75 oz. 3.99 - .75 cpn - 1.75 (I've never seen a price this low before) 2 campbells soup FREE after coupon 2 Fleischman's yeast FREE after coupon 2 Starkist Tuna's FREE after coupon 2 Duncan Hines Whole Grain muffins - 2.99 - .75cpn - .74 each (my kids LOVE these) 1 campbells princess soup 1.50 (my dd was with me ) 2 clabber girl baking powder FREE after coupon 1 ciao bella blood orange sorbet 3.00 (no cpn) 2 organic W.W. bread BOGO - 3.59 for both if I remember correctly 1 sweet sue chicken 2.99 - .75 cpn - .75 2 gold medal flour .89 after coupon 2 pillsbury flour - .99 1 karo - 1.20 after coupon (need this for xmas baking, may as get it now) 2 Duke's mayo about .80 total after coupon 1 pupperoni 1.00 after coupon there were a few other things that I can't remember right now. All totaled it was $90 before coupons/sales, and $25 after. Can't wait to go back. Oh, and a question for you - where in the world is the sweet sue chicken and dumplings? I thought i'd get some for my husband to take to work, but I couldn't find it. I didn't really look too hard, though, since it was so easy to max out my coupons. I feel like I had barely started when I had to call it quits. I think its funny, because the last time they did triples I had just started couponing and had trouble finding 20 coupons to use. Things have certainly changed. |
