Or you could probably thin the evaporated milk by using it with half water, which is what some people do. I don't actually use hamburger helper so am not speaking from direct experience with that, but I do use a lot of evaporated milk in things and that's the way it works. |

| If any of you have a Publix I found some blinkie machines that have Dannon multipack or 5 6oz cups of yogurt. Activa(my favorite) DanActive, Danamals, Light & Fit, Dannon singles. They do not say no doubling or tripling they are a value of $.55. Cheap or free yogurt. Yummy.

if you buy the welch's light juice that is on sale for $1.64, do this! use 3 coupons (of course), but buy 4 juices. instead of the coupons just taking off the $1.64 for each one, they will triple the full $.75 because there is another welch's. 4 welch's light @ $1.64 each = $6.56 - 3 $.75 q's tripled will get 4 free juices. the first 2 will take off the full $2.25 each and then the 3rd q will take off the rest of the amount, which is slightly less than $2.25. 4 juices. i hope i explained this clearly... worked for me twice.

I was not planning on going to HT today but I just couldn't help myself! I hit 2 different HT's and was more than thrilled to find my free Viva papertowels at both of them! Plus at the 2nd store (which is a very small HT) they had the 1.59 hamburger packaged in 1 lb packages (or very close anyway) so I was able to get it for pennies on the pound! I also scored 3 bags of free Wacky Mac at the smaller store! I have no idea where I'm going to store everything I got between HT and Kroger today. I've been rearranging things for the last hour and a half and I still have bags all over the place. ~sigh~

Thanks for all the ideas on how to use the evaporated milk, especially the mac and cheese and fudge recipes! I'm definitely going to use the rest of my coupons and get some more! This was my second trip, today (busy week, so I haven't made it back since Wed night!) Reynolds parchment paper ($3.45-2.25) $1.20 Pepperidge farm cookies ($3.39-1.65) $1.74 Gold Medal flour ($2.39-1.50) $.89 BC frosting ($1.99-1.50) $.49 Dawn ($1.99-1.50) $.49 2 Ortega taco sauce ($3.50-2.35) $1.25 for 2 Progresso broth ($1.64-1.50) $.14 2 Mueller whole wheat pasta ($1.79-1.65) $.14 x 2 3 Campbells cream of chicken soup ($2.25-.75) $1.50 for 3 HT sugar $.99 2 Colgate 360 toothbrush ($2.50-2.25) $.25 x 2 2 Fresh Express salad mix ($6.58-1.65) $4.93 Perdue short cuts ($5.99-2.25) $3.74 OOP: $18.64 Coupons: $34.58 Vic: $9.98 Higher OOP this time, due mostly to the salad mix and perdue shortcuts, but as I'd buy them without triples, they're both good deals to me. I'll probably go back tomorrow to get more Progresso broth, Mueller's pasta, evap milk, and use whatever good coupons we get in tomorrow's inserts - but other than that, I think I've gotten everything I can't live without this triples. I'm very happy about all the good deals on baking stuff, but I still wish that my McCormick and Nestle choc chips coupons were the $.50 ones rather than $1 ones. |

I wish I could use more then 2 IP's on that at a time! I will have to go back again tomorrow! Tonight I got: 2 Country Crock 2 Vlasic Pickles 2 Wacky Mac 2 Dole Pineapple 2 Smart Option PopCorn Paid $4.00 and tax, which isn't too bad...it is the pickles that make it high, but those are in such demand at my house and I absolutely HATE having to pay $3.00 + for them when we run out! I love getting the Free Pineapple and Wacky Mac though...I wish I had more Smart Option coupons for the popcorn! ![]() By the way, have you used the .50 off Ground Beef coupon in there yet?

I was going to buy the spray tonight at my local HT, but the shelf tag didn't advertise the sale, though it is on sale according to ExpressLane. I didn't have time to ask the cashier/manager about it, but do you think it was just an oversight on their part?

| My HT allows 2 like IPs per transaction. I mistakenly thought it was 3. My cashier was super nice and let me use all 3. So, I used 3 last night and 2 today. I plan on getting 2 every day during triples. We've already made meatloaf and meatballs, LOL! Hmmm, what to make next with all the almost free beef...

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet or not. The Mariani dried fruit has .75 peelies (in Charlotte, NC anyway) that make them free. They have banana chips and dried pineapple. They are located on the shelves with raisins and prunes.

HT Triples, Day #4 ![]() last 3 Heinz Ketchup 40 oz. w/ RC (story to follow) 2 BC box potatoes 2 Idahoan pouch potatoes 1 Keebler Zesty Crackers (another story to follow) 1 Scott Wipes Tub (w/ .75/1 Kmart Blinky) ![]() 6 Progresso Soups (BOGO RC & on sale 2/$4)!!! (total only .25 ea!)1 Progresso broth 2 SMALL cans Carnation Evap milk (free) 2 Campbell's Cream of Mush/Chicken BOGO w/ .75 HT coupon (FREE) 1 Jet Dry Turbo 4 Bumble Bee Tuna pouches 1 Breyer's Yo Crunch (cheesecake... )3 HT cheeses ~ $1.97 ea & used 3 $2.00 off cheese winetags! ![]() TOTAL: $46.78 OOP: $5.19! Hey Y'all, I'm really getting worn out from all the pressures of trying to beat my daily OOP for triples this week & find myself actually DREAMING about triple deals.... ! Does anyone else have this problem?Anyway, I have a few developments to report from today's trip. First off, I really enjoyed my deals today b/c I got the LAST 3 Heinz ketchups in the 40 oz. bottle! They were completely out in all other sizes & I happened to have my trusty 2/$5 RC from a couple of weeks back. (This is why I always tell everyone that RC are worth the wait!!!) I saw the store manager (who isn't there very often when I shop) & he was helping other complaining customers on the baking aisle. They were all asking him when the Warm Delights would be restocked, as well as some of the BOGO Pillsbury items. I asked him about the ketchup & the Mazola spray (which I have still not been able to obtain even 1)! He told me they wouldn't be getting anymore ketchup before the end of triples....that they had ordered 680 boxes & only rec'd TWO!!! I then explained that I obviously had the last 3 bottles of the stuff in my basket & told him I had a RC for 6 & under the circumstances, shouldn't I be allowed to keep the other 3 for when they're restocked. He readily agreed & told me to tell the cashier to let him know if he had any problems w/ it. ![]() I then questioned him about the Mazola spray & he said that he didn't think they would get any in before the end of triples. Warm Delights were supposed to be restocked tonight & possible Sweet Sue pouches, but he didn't anticipate getting more canned or chicken/dumplings before Weds. The next thing I noticed was that ALL the .55/1 Zesta peelies had been removed from the boxes! Luckily, I'd peeled off a few that 1st day for safe keeping b/c I'd read that HT sometimes does this when they realize how many freebies are going out the door! Can you imagine???So that's my story for tonight & now I'm off for bed. I haven't had time to read about anyone else's deals, but hope y'all are still having a good time. I'm looking forward to seeing what coupons the Charlotte Observer has & then I'll be right back to HT in the early afternoon. Then my NOLA Saints are playing the Panthers @ 4!!! I hope all my new NC friends won't hate me, but I'll got to pull for my 7 & 0 Saints! My hubby is finally living his dream.... ! GEAUX SAINTS!!!! |
