How do you prepare for the "big event"?

With all this going back and forth on HT tripling or SD, how do you all get ready? I have a binder that has not been stuffed in over 3 months. Instead of stockpiling food, I've been stockpiling coupon inserts and IP's that I haven't even cut. They are all sitting in order in my file cabinet and I don't even know how or where to get started so my binder can be up to par. I need some major inspiration

Sylvia

My first task is to remove all those coupons that expire on 10/31 which will make alot of room for the new coupons i haven't even clipped yet.

I have my binder organized by category, but within each category they are organized so that the coupons less than $1.00 are on separate pages than those that are between $1.00 and $1.99, which are on separate pages from those that are $2.00 and up. This way, if they decide to do superdoubles instead, I have those coupons grouped together. It makes it easier to see what I have that is good for triples versus what I have that is good for SD.
Other than that, I have a very outdated database that is supposed to be my coupon inventory, but it is really just a rough idea of what I MIGHT have.

The most important and effective thing that I do to prepare is watch the AFC forum for ideas from everybody else.

I check prices on express lane to at least get a ballpark idea of what stuff costs (I know some of the prices will change next week, but as I am going in to get cheap hamburger tomorrow I will check & see which sales go thru triples) I hope the pepperidge farm cookies are still on!

I go the other route. I clip the coupons I want on Monday or Tuesday and put them in a envelope. I look up the coupons by the Sunday date by RP or SS or PG. I look up the online coupons by way of the coupon internet lists. It is what ever works for you.
