Hey Y'all,

I know there's been a lot of discussion lately about HT's CS people. As Moggy & I have pointed out, these folks are usually grumpy & downright aggravated when we ask for rainchecks. So imagine my surprise when I was greeted pleasantly by one of the young male CS reps. I had been up & down every aisle only to find out HT was already out of many BOGO items. I handed him my list of at least 10 rainchecks I was requesting & his eyes lit up for a moment & he made a comment like, "Wow, you've certainly been busy!" I joked that his hand would probably be sore after he'd written all those & even offered to help, but he just said it was part of his job & wrote them all out while making small talk. He also went out of his way to thank me for shopping at HT.

The only thing I was disappointed over was the he said the store manager was now only allowing THREE items for the limit on RC & 6 for BOGO! They used to allow at least TEN!

The other highlight of my trip was finding a $2.00 off YNSO on the floor, so I got a free gallon of milk & left happy w/ my 10 rainchecks...!

Thanks for sharing! Isn't it nice to get great service like that? I've only asked for rainchecks twice and only actually redeemed one. CS has been nice about it both times, but then again I tend to shop during slow hours so that probably helps.

It's always enjoyable to run into happy employees.

BTW, my HT let me do a rain check for 10 items. I just went about 3 days ago to use my RN and bought 10 banquet meals for the sale price form 3 weeks ago.....not sure why they wouldn't let you, but I was able to do it.

Yes, it was great & don't hesitate to claim your rainchecks! I specifically eyeball the specials & if HT's out, I always ask for a RC. It's amazing the deals one can get esp w/ BOGO, so don't be shy...get a RC!

Great! I was also able to get 10 deals on tonight's RC. I guess it depends on the manager on duty, but I was smiling all the way to the car!

FYI I read on the website somewhere, and of course now can't find it, that if its not stated in the ad that the limit for rainchecks is 3 items. This was the case yesterday when I went and the Egglands Best were sold out. The manager said she could write the raincheck for 4 since it was BOGO.

My experiences are always great at HT! To me their customer service is far beyond the other grocery's around here - I'm sad to hear that is not always the case!

Well, I lucked out last night w/ the friendly CS girl! She gave me a RC for 10 items each (except 6 for BOGO), but she did search the ad to make sure it didn't specify less. Said they were really cracking down & even she thought the limit last week of one per household for Chunky soup (for $0.88) was ridiculous! I was mad I had to buy two others at $1.50 ea. to use my $0.75/3 q!

Thanks for the refresher of RC rules! As I mentioned in a previous post, I got lucky last night w/ a limit of 10 items on 3 of my RC! I also got 6 for BOGO. I still have many old RC w/ limits up to 40 items, so I hope they won't give me trouble when I use them...!

That's cool that you had a good experience. I don't think I could stand there long enough for them to write out 10! I'm not a very patient person.

BTW, I was thinking about the limits. I was kinda peeved when I got my RC for the bleach last week, they wrote it for only 2. The thing is there was a "2 per day" limit. Since they were out the first day and I think they should have written it for 14! 2 per day for the whole sale. That would've been nice...especially since they left me standing there waiting for 10 minutes before they even acknowledged me.

Well, this guy was very quick...had them all done in a matter of minutes! When I have a ton of RC to get, I usually make my list & give it to CS before I check out & they have them ready when I'm finished...grumbles or not...!

ITA that you should have been permitted to get more than 2 on your RC, but don't hesitate to ask daily for another one if they're still out. I'm normally not that patient either, but for RC & great deals, I will wait! You should leave a comment on the HT website that they ignored you for 10 minutes!

The sun has just come out for probably the last time this week, so I'm taking the long way on top of the mountains to HT & hope to get in a little more leaf peeping before my next batch of bargins & RC!
