I love Harris Teeter....but seriously, the ad secrecy is a bit much. It is to their advantage to release ad info to stay ahead of the competition, before consumers make their lists for Wednesday. SHHHHHHHHHHHHH... you'd think they contained missile codes! They'd tell you but then they'd have to kill you!

Honestly, I was shocked when I started couponing seriously and came online to find out that people had access to the sale ads early. I'm surprised they let the info out even a day early.

Honestly, I don't care. It's nice to know ahead of time, but I get confused when I have to keep track of this week AND next week's sales for several stores. It just leads to a lot of frustrated consulting of my circulars as I'm trying to remember whether the good deal I have in my head ends today or whether it's for another week. But I'm not someone who hits the store in the AM on the first day of a new sale, so I can see how having extra time to plan might help more 'hardcore' shoppers than me.

Still, though - it's pretty silly to treat it like such a big secret...

The local papers here have the grocery ads in on Tues which helps. Food Lion usually has the ad up online by Tues too. I called HT once to ask if they would do that but was nicely told it's usually up by 5am Weds. I did notice last night checking some of the B1G1F prices on the express, it already showed the VIC price. As for the employees getting fired for letting people know ahead about sales/doubles/triples, seems a little extreme to me. Corporate secrets? It's not like I work for Food Lion or Bilo. And if I know ahead, I have told other customers in the store with lots of coupons and such. I just try not to do it in front of employees. I don't want to be accused of being a corporate spy!

It's nice to know someone else gets confused and has to look back at the circulars. I know my MIL thinks I'm crazy as I get to each store I recite what does this store accept/not accept but finding it's easier to just go to HT the most for the deals plus trying to remember prices. How do you guys store all this info in your heads or do you? Suggestions???

I copy and paste everything in my notepad (match ups and such). Then just go to the store and shop makes it easy to have a list in hand for each store to get what I need in one run to the stores.
