I went back to the store today to clear up a few discrepancies on my receipt from last night. Among other things, my .75, .75, and .50c coupons all didn't double or triple. the 75's were IPs and I think the .50 also said do not double on it, but here's the thing....

....they were all "5" codes and I know the cashier didn't stop to cancel them or read them. It went in automatically that way.

That really sucks.

So, she explained to me she couldn't refund me any money. Just thought I'd let you all know. Oh, and this was at the Lawndale Drive HT in Greensboro, NC.

At my store, this happened the 1st day. I wanted to test out the DND coupon, so I used the Duke's Mayo insert coupon .50/1 ~ it did not double or triple. The register did not let it do it.
I didn't want to say anything to the cashier, cause I knew she would look at the coupon and see the DND.

I have "not" used any DND q's since then, that is why I've only made 2 trips so far this triples.

Veeeerrryyyy interesting!! Thanks for telling us. Wow. I wonder if they are updating their system somehow for these? I guess someone up in corporate is keeping track of coupon codes or something and slowly getting them into the intracatalog of some sort. Hmm. Thanks again!

Bummer...what a pain. I have been afraid to use the DND's this round too after day one when my cashier pulled a DND q. I think he only pulled it because a member of CS was bagging my groceries. He's always been my fav cashier because he's so laid back. But he pulled a DND IP and then scanned all my other q's while the girl bagging my groceries was double checking whether or not they should take my IP. They finally did accept it, but I don't want the hassle again. I have already had a hard time with the 2 IP total vs 2 like IP's at one store and now they pulled the IP that had the DND in bold up top. I haven't had any issues with the DND 5's insert q's yet. I hope this isn't yet another thing for them to nit pick. I don't understand why they will take a loss on a regular q, but not on a DND. It doesn't make much sense to me. If they really are losing the money they double or triple, what does it matter if it says DND or not? I'm just glad I live in a town that has lots of stores that double. I still love HT, I just hope it doesn't become difficult to shop there.

Maybe the larger companies like HT pay some kind of penalty fee for doubling when they are not supposed to. That would explain the motivation. It would be a good question to pose to someone at corporate, delicately of course.

My fav cashier told me before triples this time no more DND so I havent't even tried. I wonder if that will also be the case at super doubles? Better start asking around! I don't want to be bummed out at the register.

I have been able to use DND and DNT's this triples with no problem. Everything has went smoothly, no beeps or manual overrides.

Just curious, does anyone know for sure who covers the doubled or tripled amounts? Is it the store or the manufacturer? If it's the store, then it's up to HT to decide to enforce the not doubling and tripling or if they want to turn a blind eye to that wording just as what seems to be every other grocery store out there. In any case that wording is on most IPs which is where I get most of my coupons that I seem to use there so it would cut in half the number of trips I make to HT. If the coupons aren't doubled or tripled I can very easily find better product shelf prices at every other store out there.

I just used some dnd/dnt ips yesterday and they doubled/tripled fine. No beeps or overrides needed. Sorry that you had a problem.

All my q's have tripled just fine as well, even the DND/DNT q's. Some of the cashiers will even read that is says DND/DNT and will just scan it anyway.

Did you shop the day before Mrs. G? Just wondering, since some people are posting that if it was not exactly 24 hours between their shops (even though it was 2 different days), the coupons did not double or triple.

Did you make sure they scanned your card first and not in the middle of the transaction or at the end? That's what happened to me one day I went. Every other time I went my q's tripled fine.

I was told by a manager that the double/triple promotion is from Harris Teeter themselves. If they start pulling all of the DND coupons, we will be missing out on a lot. I don't know why the mfg. puts that on there anyway because they are only reimbursing the store the face value plus a sm. amount over that. In regards to Super Doubles coming up, I was told last night by a CSM that she wouldn't be surprised if they don't do it next week. They have been alternating between triples/doubles so it might be coming up. No real confirmation though.

I had no problems mine worked fine. I am wondering how the register nows it is not a dnd coupon i think it might be something else. Did all the rest of the coupons double and triple did you have any others that said dnd and they did. It might be that store try another if you have another ht.

Mine too! Especially the Hillshire Farms coupons! I couldn't sit back and let that deal pass me by whether the q's said DND or not.

The second point weavexxgirl made actually happened to me. The cashier thought it was because I had already used my card but I didn't use my card all day Thursday and it was Friday night when they wouldn't triple. Come to find out, he did not scan my Vic Card first. We had to void everything and start all over.

My bill was much higher than expected last night at Harris Teeter. The manager said that Harris Teeter changed their policy and will no longer double or triple IP's. The same thing happened to my daughter at a Charlotte Harris Teeter. What we are curious about is......did the IP coupons say do not double or triple.......or will HT no longer double or triple any internet printables?????

A few weeks ago, I had an IP that didn't double. Same story as when they beep--if it doesn't work on IP's, we can't make it happen. It pretty much negated my purchase so they started over & it DID double the second time--almost like a hiccup in the system. Used IP's before & during triples without issue.

I just checked the policy online and nothing changed. There is no restriction to doubling or tripling IP's.
