Hot HOT news re: Harris Teeter & BOGO items

A very reliable source told me that Harris Teeter is planning to change it's BOGO policy.

Currently, when you buy BOGO items at HT, both items ring up full price and then the full price of the 2nd one is subtracted at the end of your order.

NEW POLICY: Each item will ring up at 1/2 price.

Unfortunately, my reliable source couldn't find out WHEN this will go into effect. My advice? Start watching your receipts!! And if you see the change on your CRT, post here!

Sure!

First: I will no longer have to buy an even number of BOGO sale items to take advantage of BOGO savings. Currently, whether I buy 1 or 2 of the BOGO items, I am still paying full single price. Example: this week 8ct Brawny paper towels are BOGO. If I buy one pack, I pay $10; if I buy 2 packs I pay $10. With the new policy, I can buy one pack for $5.

Second: HT has always said they will not take a coupon for a free item. Thus, they viewed BOGO items as I pay for ONE, they give me one FREE. Thus, policy states only ONE coupon per BOGO set. With the new policy, hopefully, they will allow (per their policy) coupons per BOGO set.

Does that help?
