My cashier told me today they were to tell customers with Internet Printed coupons that beginning in the next week or so they would only takea TOTAL OF 2 IP PER ORDER! I don't know if this is a store policy or corporate wide policy but I have heard others on different boards hearing the same thing. I double checked to make sure they didn't mean 2 of one particular item, and the answer was no, 2 IP of any kind per order. When you live somewhere where the Sunday paper has hardly any coupons, this is BAD NEWS!!

Which store was this at? I haven't had a problem with the store on Long Pt Rd, but the Houston Northcutt store told me a couple of months ago that they only take 2 IP's total. I e-mailed corporate to see who was right and they told me that they take 2 IP's per manu. I hope this isn't a new store wide policy.

I hate it, because I seem to always have more IP's than inserts q's. I've made several small trips, if it is something I REALLY want like the yoplus yogurt (used the $1.50 IP's one day and the $1.00 IP's another). HT is my least favorite store these days....

Must be a misinterpretation or they aren't uniform in enforcing it. I just used 6IPs with my order yesterday and the cashier didn't blink an eye.

Most of my Q's for todays order were IP's. I was told I could only use two IP's per item. If that is going to be a new policy it is not going to be good for me.

I used 5 ip's today with no problems and no mention of a policy change. I hope they don't do this because I honestly think more manufacturers are going to start offering more ip's because they can reach more people this way, especially with a lot of newspapers going bankrupt, etc. They really need to come up with a better system or some way to quickly verify an ip. This is getting ridiculous!

This was at the Long Point Road store---the cashier was very nice, but said they were instructed to let customers using coupons of the policy change that would go into effect in the next week or so. If there was another way to get EVERY newspaper to get the same coupons we wouldn't need them so much, but I counted the other day, and the Atlanta Journal was missing 8 of the "upcoming coupons" listed for the inserts, the Charlotte Observer was missing 13...and the Charleston Post and Courier, 43!!!!!!!! We get nothing!!!!!!! It's ridiculous.

I used at least 8 IP coupons at Harris Teeter on Coleman Blvd in Mt. Pleasant and had no problem, and no mention of a coupon policy change....

| That's interesting because that's the store I e-mailed corporate about. They told me in April that they only accept two IP's per transaction total. I only had two, but was asking how triples was going and they said there was a woman who tried to use 20 IP's earlier and she blew her top when they told her that she could only use two. Maybe corporate set them straight? I've been too worried that they won't take more than 2 that I haven't tried it yet. I'm heading out later to make one last trip so I'll try to remember to ask. I'll probably go to Houston Northcutt so I can stop into Publix on the way home.

I am finding that it is cheaper for me to order q's from the clipping services. I still get 1 or 2 papers, but if I want more of a particular q I just order it. It seems very wasteful to just keep buying papers for the q's anyway. Trading or joining a coupon train is another way to get q's as well. I guess they think they are hurting us by not accepting ip's but it really is just a minor bump in the road if they limit ip's and you could always do more than one transaction. Go put your things in your car and then come back in for round 2!LOL!

I understand the rule on limiting to 2 IP's per product, b/c it probably helps limit the number of fraudulent IP's they get stuck with. I don't like it, but I think it may become more common. I can't see a logical basis for a 2-IP's-per-order-rule. And this is what I'll say in my email to Corp if this really is the new rule!

official policy is 2 per product alike, but different stores "read" this differently. It can be really frustrating.

UPDATE: My store manager called me after I emailed the corporate office and said that the cashiers, while very certain in what they were telling me, WERE WRONG! It is 2 IPs per product, not per order! I hope that helps!! elizabeth |

Whew, thank you for the update! I meant to ask at the store myself, but my 14 month old started crying when we were checking out because they moved the cart behind the cash register. She totally freaked out! I don't go to the Long Pt store very often, but its good to know I can still use my IP's there when I go. Thanks!
