It's funny. The more I do this couponing thing at Harris Teeter, the more I get to know the employees. I'm a regular that's for sure. This one guy, a butcher (his name is actually Guy) now has his wife doing coupons and she's getting free items. Lots of times when a MOD has to be called over to override some coupon, they don't even ask, they know I know and I know they know. It's just beep, beep, beep. ![]() I really love feeling like I belong. AFC has helped me become like this. Hats off to you AFC and for all you do!! *deep, gracious bow* ![]() ![]()

I feel that way about my local store too. One of the managers and the daytime U-scan cashier know me by name and always like to chat. We speak when we see each other in town at other stores or restaurants too. It is nice!

I think the staff at my store is nice to everyone, but I do know I'm recognized or at least DD is recognized. A few of the cashiers do know me for using coupons, and I've written down the main IP sites for one when she asked. I'm actually afraid to clue them in to AFC b/c until last week none of them seemed to be aware of the one-q-per-bogo rule or the limit of three like coupons. Today another shopper said Hi as we passed in an aisle and I knew I knew her from somewhere but just couldn't place her. I was behind her in line at the checkout and she walked back to say Hi to DD and comment on how big she was getting. Turned out that she works at HT. A few months ago when I was trying to buy the YoCrunch 100 calorie yogurt packs during triples, I saw the dairy-stocking guy two days in a row and we searched his huge cart for it both times. A week later, there he was again when I was looking for a specific flavor of regular YoCrunch. He totally knew me from before and asked right away what I needed and went into the back to check for me. A week later, I'm buying Yoplait (yes, we eat a lot of yogurt!) and as soon as I saw him stocking again I did a u-turn and snuck back to that area when I saw that he went into the back. If I were him, I would have thought I was stalking him.

Same here....I've gone to an HT I don't normally go and find out someone got transferred there and recognizes me (though I didn't them). I have had that happen at a Staples also. I like it....there are several manages and employees that have basically watched Celeste grow up.

I think the dairy guy is pretty good he gave me the same price for the ex-large eggs when they ran out of the large . He checked on yogurt for me as well. My MIL goes with me often, the employees always speak to her, she laps it up. One day the Starbucks guy brought us a sample treat while shopping. She tried it but made a face she doesn't like coffee. A couple of days later I was in and ordered it for my treat but he remember me and asked about my MIL. She wasn't with me that day. Since then he always greets as we leave the store. He's was very polite. |
