Tonight i had a problem.
I tried to use the $.75/1 trident coupons and the $.55/1 Tuna blinkie
Well they both started with a '5' but said DND on them.
I went to the shelf check out and when the cashier scanned them they wouldn't triple. So he called me over to tell me and i made sure they were a '5' I asked him to scan another one and it triple fine. But these 2 coupons wouldn't triple. Weird because i just used them the night before and they tripled fine.
The cashier leader came over and said he couldn't override it cause it said DND on it.
I am totally puzzled on why it did this?
has anyone had this problem?

I'm betting it's the same problem others are talking about in the transactions/trips thread. I'm betting it has nothing to do with the fact that the coupons say DND on them. As far as I can tell it's not letting coupons double or triple unless the REG. price of an item is equal to or more than the tripled value of the coupon.

i used lots of those tuna $.55/1 this time no problem. not the blinkies though.

The same thing happened to me on Sunday. The cashier told me that they were to read the coupons and they were to make sure to not triple any coupons that said "DND" on them. I thought it was strange, because all of my coupons have worked. I'm gonna look at it like this, some days all will work and some days they won't. If you really think about it"DND" means just that. I know they aren't consistent about their ever changing rules, but we for the most part are or are trying to be savvy shoppers and one or two coupons not trippling is not gonna put a dent in the amount you've saved.

I had four coupons not triplet yesterday. None were DND. All tripled to over the price of the item. I didn't realize it until I got home. I wonder if this is a glitch, or permanent. It used to adjust them down.

I had the same problem on monday, but even the ones that did not say that would not triple, they did not even double, so they manually tripled them, but not the ones with DND on them, so I had her take those items off of my bill, since I was only getting them because they were so cheap. These same coupons tripled on saturday, so I'm not sure why it has changed.

This all depends on the store and the cashier. At my store they will not take DND's. They are the coupon police. I have to travel to another store 30 minutes away to use DND's.

I'm not sure what the problem is. If they say DND, why would you think they would/should?

Well there is a theory that if the coupon starts with a 5 it doubles and if it starts with a 9 it will not.

Puzzling about the 0.55/1 tuna blinkie -- b/c tripling that coupon does not make it free. You still pay $$ for the item.

Not if you buy the Bumblebee Light Tuna Pouch. It is $1.29 at my store making it free after 0.55 tripled.
