UPDATE

I decided to write a letter to Corporate about the Outer Banks HT not participating in the triples last week. I wish I saved a copy of the letter, but unfourtunatly I did not. Anyways. I got a message on my house phone from a man at the corporate office Tuesday (which I didn't get the message until about 9 that evening). He said that there had been some kind of mistake in the computer and the KDH and KH Harris T store should have participated and the problem was corrected. He said that If I had any coupons that I wanted tripledthen I could go that night and use them. I was so excited I began gathering all of my coupons, my husband wanted me to call and make sure before we drove back up there from Currituck. Which I though was stupid at the time because the man from corporate just said they were. So I called, thank god I did. They said they were not participating, only the tidewater store was because they had their grand opening. I tryed to explain to the man about my message from corporate and he still tried to convince me that they were not tripling. Next time I hear anything about HT triples I will be sure to call corporate and get them to email a letter before the event, so I wonthave any problems. On a better note, Corporate said they were sending me a gift card in the mail for my troubles!!!! So If they don't participate next time let them know how you feel. Just be honest about how you feel, in a tastful way!!!






I stayed up until 2 a.m. making my list for HT Triples. I Talked my husband into going with me, dragged both the kiddos out of bed early. When I got to the Kitty Hawk HT something told me to look at the flyer, so I did. There was nothing stated about them tripling, so I asked. They looked at me like I was crazy. So I just figured since they just opened, maybe they weren't prepared yet. I called the KDH HT and sure enough they weren't participating either. We decided since we drove from Currituck we would walk around and try to get some of those B1G1 deals. Obviously our HT does not do anything the same as all of the other ones, because nothing that was supposed to be on sale was.

oh wow i had heard that they dont do anything normal at the beach stores im headed ur way in 16 days and counting and omg all the stores u have there now when i lived there bk in the day there were only 3 groc. stores from kitty hawk to manteo and 2 arent even there anymore and in 2007 when i was there the iga in manteo was still there. do they even double there at ht?

They do say online that the prices viewed in flyer format to not apply to the OBX stores. Those stores are def. on their own program. I hate that you went through all that! How disappointing!

I called the Kitty Hawk store yesterday afternoon before I went through all my Q's and was told they aren't going to be participating. Sorry you wasted your trip. But they do still double coupons everyday like other stores.

Does the Corolla HT triple? We stopped by there one night on our way home just to see if they were tripling and they were!

OP-- How close are you to Chesapeake? My mom lives in Currituck and she goes to the Hanbury Rd. HT

They do double q's everyday, but their prices are so high. Most of the time it is cheaper to shop at Food Lion.

I would assume that the corolla one is not, but I only called the Kitty Hawk and KDH one. Our Harris Teeters here do triple. Just whenever they feel like it. I called corporate today to ask why OBX HT's were not tripling and why our flyers prices are different from all the rest. The lady bascially said that they cater to the tourist. Which is great, but they probaly shouldn't burn any bridges with the locals. After all, we are the ones that keep their lights on in the off season.

THAT totally stinks! I'm so sorry. I would be so disappointed. Our stores use to be the same way, now they do whatever Raliegh and Charlotte does. Thank GOD!!

I remember reading on my Raleigh flyer that prices were not good at the OBX stores. You think they should do triples though because it's not like tourists are carrying a bag full of coupons with them to the beach..ha, ha. Well, actually I'm going to OBX tomorrow and thought about bringing my Qs but kinda figured OBX stores probably wouldn't be tripling anyways.
