HT in Charleston, SC have the 4 cartridge refills clearanced to 2.74. With the $2 coupon from an insert a couple of weeks ago these were dirt cheap. Got 12 blades for 3.98 last night.

This morning I saw Aveeno cold sore treatment in the clearance area for $5.50. It looked like someone was getting ready to put a bunch of Aveeno shampoos in there, too. Didn't see price stickers yet.

There are lots of items marked down in the lunch meat section. The meat manager was working back there and she said all products with a price ending in 4 were on close-out and after they sold, no more would be coming. Lots of these were marked down and on BOGO! Some were close to date and had the yellow HT coupons on the front. I got some Lunchables (beef taco) and a Deli combo tray (can't remember the exact name now) like this with overage! The stickers on the front were for $2 and $1.50 off, and the products were actually on sale for less!

I am new to the "couponing game." I just got wind of the HT offers today and utilized the triples option.

What are closeouts and how do I benefit from them?

Closeouts are just items on clearance at Harris Teeter. Sometimes, they will have all of the items pulled out and in carts at the front of the store, but I find the best clearance deals just by looking in the aisles. The sale tags do not say closeout, but usually it is a marked down price ending in "4." You just have to be observant, and sometimes you will find some awesome markdowns to combine with coupons.

Yesterday, I saw Pampers and Huggies diapers are marked down (still fairly high though- Pampers were 14.94 I think and Huggies were 11.94). Caress and Dove soap were 1.94 and 2 varieties of Lunchables were BOGO, which would be a good deal with the $1/2 IP.

Goodnights Boxers size Large-XL only girls pack of 11, 9.94, combined with an IP q and there are also peelies on packs at Target that are target store q's, there's an additional 3.00 savings, bringing them to 6.94.

Closeouts are just items on clearance or marked down at Harris Teeter. Huggies mega packs were marked down today to $8.99. I had $3 Food Lion q's, so only $6/pk! There were also lots of cat food and candy marked very low.

My HT in Laurinburg, NC had BC Vanilla frosting marked down to $0.89. I don't think it was supposed to be marked down (I mean, Vanilla frosting?!?) but with the q's they were FREE!!
