Note~A friend in UT sent me this deal Isn't it great when competition dumps super triple plays in our laps?
I did a great Diva Deal tonight.
I started at our local IGA grocery store, which had a $4/4 Kellogg's cereal coupon in the flier.
I grabbed 10 fliers -- there were hundreds by the door.
I cut out the Kelloggs coupons and headed to Albertsons because Albertsons has Kelloggs cereals for half price.
I bought 12 boxes of Raisin Bran, normally $3.59, on sale for $1.79, and used three $4/4 coupons, paying just .79 a box.
That is about as good as it gets for me since there are no doubles here.
But there were two extra little bonuses.
I used three $2 catalinas from the Walgreens Chapstick deal, bringing the total cost down to $5.xx, and each of the Raisin Bran boxes has a certificate toward a free DVD.
It's great when a manufacturer, like Kelloggs, offers major grocery chains special prices during the same week.
One chain may pass on the savings in the form of a coupon in their flier, another chain has a deep sale price, another may offer B2G1F or free milk with purchase.
When you can stack one grocery chain's special savings on top of another's, it's a thrill.
In this case, I took advantage of a great coupon cut from one chain's flier, and used it at another chain on their cheap price.
This is possible when either 1) the coupon is a manufacturer's coupon good anywhere, or 2) the second chain advertises that they take competitors' coupons.
Enjoy y'all!!!
Remember I would love to get a 3rd star please rep me....
