| Everybody has "off-days," right especially when it comes to couponing/saving money...
(just my vent) Today was my off-day... I spend a lot of time preparing for deals. And it's a lot of work with two kids. I also have to ask someone to take me to the store, so when the oppourtunity to go to the store (ride) comes up, I really have to take the full advantage of the ride, and also the time I have at the store. So, going to the store feels like a combat to me... ![]() After going through all that trouble, it is pretty dissapointing to come out from the store with no transactions because of the rude cashier... After that, I went to CVS today, got the products and was ready to check out, but while the person in front of me was checking out, I just changed my mind and decided not to check out.... just knowing that Covergirl BOGO coupon is going to beep and the cashier will have to call the manager over this... and it might not go through....... made me feel like the saving is not worth it..... (plus, I left my warret in the house! I could still do it with the cash I had with me but did not want to get into that stash of cash.)I have done that couple times in past few days now. (getting things together, going to the check out and before my turn comes up, changing my mind due to all the trouble I have to go through at check out.) The fact all those planning was for nothing is dissapointing, but I also sort of feel guilty for not being able to take advantage of the today only coupon I had when I had a chance. I guess I just have to take a break.... Sip some coffee, have some absolutely divine cookes from CVS (they are sooo good. I just opened my first one tonigh. ), and wait until next week's M&M deal from CVS... which... will start day after tomorrow. so it's not much of a break I guess. ![]() I think I have to relax my mind. I feel like I always have to save money for the family and work too hard coming up with the plan. It won't kill us if I relax little more without beating myself. We are really tight on budget, but I should not feel so guilty for not being able to take advantage of every coupons/sales going around. There'll always be another one. |

angel, I bombed out this week too. Just couldn't find anything really good @ CVS that wasn't just buying for the sake of buying. I did the sunsilk deal only because of the BOGO coups. I walked around forever but nothing good. You'd think with all the cosmetic deals there would have been something I could have done. All was too much oop for ony 5 ECB's. I did need other stuff I had no coups for, so I blew more ECB's than I planned too (cards, saline for DD) oh well - I still have 10 ECB's left for next time.........

We all have those days/weeks. I hate to miss a deal, but sometimes it just feels better to stay home. I am currently surrounded by my coupon mess and need to organize, but am not "in the mood" so here I am instead. I have plenty of food, tp, and deodorant. I don't need anything more TODAY! I've learned to stay home when I'm not in the mood to shop because I spend a lot more if I'm not focused anyway.

Me too , I had 18 double coupons for my albertsons , but could only use 3 at a time . I only ended up using 12 . There were just too many trips required and I didn't have the energy. OH WELL ! Did get some killer freebies , I love a tax only trip to the grocery store !
