I just checked the sunday inserts and now Target coupons states "Limit 4 like coupons per household, per day Well it seemed that Target decided to stop allowing people to use tons of coupons. Also I saw they rolled out revlon coupon but it not $5/2 instead it $3/2 on $3 or higher items. Miss the old days! |

Let's brace ourselves, Target isn't the only one doing this; WAG is coming up with changes that are very couponer unfriendly. I'll get out before they roll out the loyalty card in Sept. some WMs now refuse ALL IPs so changes are not exclusively to Target.

Well really I can't blame the retailers..some people have really gone nuts over this stuff and to me it would have been better for all; had everyone used some basic common sense while couponing...likely things would have continued as always but a few are gonna ruin it for all.

unfortunately, irreparable damages are done. There's no turning back. We all have to suffer the consequences now. Even for those who participated in the show, soon as they go back to reality, they will find out they are NOT exempt from the adverse effects. I'm pretty sure they know by now they ruined it not just for others, but themselves, as well.

I agree with you guys. I wished TLC would never showed extreme couponing. I use common sense to make sure that I am fair to others and follow the coupons carefully.

Extreme couponing has ruined the future of couponing. And you can't blame the stores, had the media not drawn attention to all this, we could have quietly stockpiled and keep to ourselves the bounty. Oh, well.

I don't see is as such a bad thing as most PG and unilevers say kind of the same thing. PG you are supposed to techinically leave the store and come back to use more than 4 like coupons as it says "limit of 4 like coupons in the same shopping trip" meaning you can't even do multiple transactions. So the lady on extreme couponing that used like 100 of those technically committed coupon fraud right on tv. I love Target, I do all my grocery shopping there and save tons with Target q's and manu q's. But it really irritates me when the shelves are cleared of items made free with Target q's and you are only supposed to be able to use 1 like target q in a transaction. But anyway i will still shop there.

Maybe it will stop some people from hoarding 50 Revlon beauty Tools on Sunday morning just because there was a Target coupon that made them free. What Walgreens is doing is completely different. They are not limiting coupon usage. They are getting rid of register rewards and implementing a new crappy points based loyalty card. All Walgreens is doing is giving customers less incentive to even shop there. Watch WAGS lose business quickly come September and quickly change back to RR! CVS is already much better than WAGS as it is. |

Well, my family of 4...IN REALITY only needs 4 of 1 like item on a sale because sales rotate fast enough to get more of most items. Especially the "common" Target items, like Revlon tools, toothpaste, toothbrushes...etc.....as for the food items, I personally use 3 computers to print coupons so 6 like Target coupons if I wanted...and RARELY do I need 6 of one Target q. I like the Target change!

Well, I know this sounds bad, but my Target never follows the store coupon limits as they stand now, so hopefully it won't be too much of an issue going forward. Although, when I think of it, I usually top out at about 4 of any one item at time in most cases anyway.

I can't stand my target. Your only allowed 4 like coupons per day per person. I've heard others say they are only allowed to use 4 coupons total in one transaction per day per person. Its just a big inconvenience to go in there and have to deal with a situation. Not having it known publicly. I really can't stand Target lately and when I don't use coupons, I rather shop some where else. Some where were they don't give you a hassle.

This may be good for some of us. I live in a small town and only got one target and have a lot of couponer in my area. So for me target never been a big store too shop at cause everything gone on Sunday morning. And for my family I only buy 4 newspapers anyway .So I only use 4 alike coupons in my shopping trips and I will tell you I am very proud of my huge huge stockpile. And maybe now I can get some free stuff at Target!!!! I agree that Target is simply trying to protect themselves from perceived fraud based on that show and I dont blame them. I have been clipping coupons for 10+ years and it is rare that I save money like it is shown on the show. I have received money back from Walmart but that was an extreme situation. I will be happy when the economy gets better and new couponers will gradually decrease. This too shall pass... |

This is actually an improvement to me. There are two Targets near me; one says ONE TQ per transaction (although they've never made me split my transactions even though I've always offered), and the other doesn't seem to have any policy in place. If I know that the limit is 4 per day then at least I know what I'm dealing with... and like a previous poster, I rarely have more than that anyway. I agree that the sales seem to come around on a regular basis so it always works out in the end. I do hope they keep offering good TQ's to match up with MQ's because that's my main incentive for shopping there... without that I'd be much more likely to go elsewhere. |

How will they limit you to 4 like per day if you pay in cash and go to a different register or come back later in the day? This seems rather odd/stupid.

I've had bad experiences trying to use the store coupons at our Target. They only let me use one like coupon per item. I don't grocery shop there any more unless it's well worth it.

| Because it states on the target coupon : one per transaction ,or one per guest ,one per household ! they just follow their own policy .
