today i went to walmart to get two trial size aquafresh because after reading this forum i realized there was a printable ip where you could get two and make 3 cents a peice. i am going away on vacation next weekend so i thought it would be perfect. anyway i went to walmart, and when i was checking out, there was 6 cents overage. the cashier says "you owe me 6 cents" and i informed her politely that she owed me 6 cents, it was a negative balance. then people behind me were saying "no there is no face value on coupons so she doesnt owe you anything" and i said "walmart allows overages". at this point, it was getting ridiculous for 6 cents so i said she could keep it and i will leave. but then she started screaming at me (i have a migraine btw from stress for the past two days. i went to the doctor's yesterday) saying that she couldnt stand scammers and shes going to get a manager to look at it. then the manager comes and tells me (politely though. she was nice) that the coupons are for full size. i said they are allowed for trial because there is no size restriction. the manager says its still for full size, but this one time, this one time only she will allow it. then people behind at me stare at me like im commiting some fraud and i'm about to cry and the cashier refuses to give me my six cents and calls the manager over again. the manager tells her to give me the six cents but then people behind me say "no coupons have face value" the manager just laughed and told the cashier to give me my six cents. the cashier gave me my six cents and i walked away ![]() OH and i left my wallet there filled with $18, $5 eb, $6 rr, and $10 in coupons that gave me MM because i was so ashamed of being yelled at. this is a terirble day. |

Agreed.... get your wallet, smile and tell the cashier you hope she has a wonderful day and then call/email corporate. Explain to them how horrible they made you feel and demand someone contact you by phone (if you email). Discuss with them what happened and that that location needs to be advised how coupons work/better information or training. Perhaps they may offer you some compensation as well. I am a supervisor at FTD.com and take many escalated phone calls a day. Please understand that while I know it created so much frustration for you....they were wrong to do that to you and corporate does want to know so they can make sure their employees are treating people right. I like when our customers bring things to our attention cause that is how we are going to make the business run better. I am so sorry you had to go through that but I hope you have a great trip!

Go get your wallet...Smile at that heifer and tell her to have a great day..When she looks at you all funny like what the .....? Tell her you know she must have a sad life because happy normal people don't treat others , the way she treated you...and walk away smiling! I use to let it bother me how hateful they can be at walmart...but that has ended! I was price matching one day, I had the ad in my bag, but the csm that was there that day is a XXX! so , i wouldn't have shown it to him for all the tea in china! And when he opened his mouth trying to smart off as always....I stopped him dead in his tracks! I looked at him straight in his eyes and told him, don't ever speak to me in that manner again !!! I told him that i didn't have to buy anything from there, then or ever! And that he would never speak to me like that again! HE sure acts different now.. o |

I just went myself and was not allowed to use the $1 any cutter on the candle, even though her manager said the item matched. Then I was told the u by kotex liners 18 ct was trial/travel size.. I politely explained she was wrong. The front end manager said it was not trial either, then left and came back and said it was travel. ughhhhh I hate walmart too!!

wow! that is a crappy day! I hope you DO report this to corporate. FWIW, I buy something, even if it is a candy bar or something cheap so there isn't an issue with overages. they are SUPPOSED To give you the overage, but at my store there are quite a few dumb people who cross off the 1 $ on the coupon and write 97 cents or what ever the amount is for the sale price... I roll my eyes and don't bring it up... if I thought they would understand their OWN companies policy I would bring it up to them and hope they learn, but I have all but given up on expecting them to do much of anything from price match to honor coupons.... I gave up after they decided they wouldn't price match the price on THEIR OWN WEBSITE... I pulled up walmart.com to see how much a book was and went to the store to buy it...... and they REFUSED to match the price listed on walmart.com... I was like UGH... I try to only go there when I am willing to deal with their stupidity. |

Their policy specifically states they don't match Walmart.com. I've had to argue to get them to match prices in THEIR circular THEY handed me when I walked in the store!!

Sometimes people dont realize that they need protection, in this case I think you do. You've already got a migraine, your already upset.the cashiers temperment is cause for concern. If I were near you I would walk right un that store with you and we wouldnt leave until you had your wallete and a BIG TIME apology for their behavior. You have the law on your side to protect you from bullies like that! heaven help that cashier if she didnt put your wallet in the managers hand for safe keeping. what was the store? where? I will call corp..and I will stand up for you! I pray you stand up for yourself You in no way deserved this..next time..pull out your cell phone and record every second of it and then..post it to youtube! if you think you cant because you would get in trouble ..your wrong. I did it once and I left it there until i was given both a verbal and written apology..mind you it didnt take long!!!! good luck sweetie, hope your day gets better! P |

thank you everyone! I wanted to thank all your posts but I'm on my phone and it's taking forever. I ended up going back to my wallet but they couldn't find it I just decided to think if it as it will make up for all the good deals I will find at my drugstores, for I am done with Walmart!

My sympathies. I hate walmart. I called corporate a couple of months ago when I had a walmart refuse to give me overage on the allegra coupon. I showed them the coupon policy and they got rude with me. I called corporate who were absolutely no help. They told me it's up to each store and the coupon policy is not a corporate policy per Se. I told them so you are telling me there is a coupon policy on the website but its not a corporate policy and each store doesn't have to follow it. Sounds misleading if you ask me.

you can create a cvs account with your card number and will be able to print the $5 ecb that is now lost. i would call the store mgr or district mgr and if needed corporate. i find it odd the cashier did not see your wallet laying around at checkout. i find it very unprofessional for cashier to call you a scammer.

Hey , if your sure as poop , that you left your wallet there....Then i would talk to the manager...you know what time and day you were there..they should be able to look at the video, from there security cam's!!! Call your local police and ask them or explain to them how you were treated and that you think maybe the cashier took it..see if there is anything they can do,,,you can also call corp. about it..buff, a little, tell them you want to see the video !! you or your lawyer, tell them you bet the local tv station would enjoy getting involved with this...I wish you luck!

Please take your receipt ( it has the time of day you were there) and go to the police dept and file a report for your wallet being stolen do it now or you could lose out Walmart only had to legally save their tapes for 48 hours please please do this it's the only way you can prove you left your wallet there and who took it please please do this for yourself You were treated badly and you deserve to prove that because of all their bs your wallet was stolen if you had lost it it would have been in the managers safe it was freakin stolen and heaven help that cashiers meant little @ss if she took it or allowed someone else to take it Protect yourself I am so sorry for you I thpught about you sell night I just can not tolerate people treating others this way |

I'm sorry you were treated like that- I would report the manager on duty to the store manager- they are usually different. As for your wallet, call the police and fill out a a report.- ask them to contact walmart for their tapes. You also may want to ask them about what you can do about the slander from the cashier. - you know the time and date, the police should take it from there. |

btw, before going to the cops to file a report, I suggest you let WM store management deal with it first. IF they WON'T help you, that's the time to go to the cops. It may save you time if you go through proper channels before going to the cops. Good luck!

the walmart manager already harrassed you why give them a chance to do it again if you dont go to police you wont have any record to fall back on and once those tapes are recorded over there will never be any resolution if something isnt done to stop it
