Iam furious.. someone is stealing all the papers out of the paper machine in the parking lot of our local value giant and Iam sick of it...If I have to pay 2 dollars a paper you should have to also. I saw a woman doing it about 2 sundays ago and I didnt think much about it until I mulled it over today. Because when I saw her she pulled out about 8 papers but then I thought wait a minute she just pulled up 5 seconds ago there is no way she put 16 dollars in change in there that quick its impossible...So I figured I would come on here because so many people come here and Im hoping she does...Because she will be caught maybe not by me but someone eventually..

Thanks for listening and letting me rant...And to others who do this KNOCK IT OFF..Its stealing and just plain annoying....

I can't understand why people would STEAL!

I've seen ladies on the news prosecuted for stealing newspapers, how absolutely humiliating. People are so greedy!

This happens on Fort Lewis really bad. The second the papers go into the box, they are stollen. It was such a hassle when I lived on post because I'd have to drive 10 miles off base to find a place that had papers. I believe in Kharma, being dishonest never pays, they'll get their deeds returned to them.

This is exactly right. It's easy enough to track when the paper machine is short money. And easy to have somebody watching the box...just like the OP was there and the thief didn't think twice about stealing them right in front of her. It just has to be the right amount of money being lost before the newspaper gets fed up and decides to investigate.

I'd almost rather have the box empty though then have her stealing just the inserts. If she was doing that, then the next person can't tell whether the coupons are there or not without losing their money.

Our papers will only stock 2 papers now per machine, one in the window and another...and they put the first paper so you cant see inside to see how many is in ther...smart idea, but it really ticks me off that i cant get a post here b/c they are from 300 miles away..and they only have 6 machines in town and they stock with only 2 papers..they offer a delic=very service but its a pain in the butt! so i need to figure a way to get ahold of papers and i always pay for mine! Usually though when i buy them at the store...the employees have taken out the coupons! uuggghhh

Wow technology has gone this far, I'm surprised that this new paper machines are still being used primitively.

I am surprised they even have paper machines anymore. People steal from them so often that I have to wonder how that makes good business sense to pay someone to fill them all when a lot of the papers are not paid for.

I agree, stealing the papers is horrible. Our paper found out that if they simply did not put inserts into the ones slated for the machines, magically, after about 2-3 weeks, people quit stealing them.
