| Accused of Coupon Fraud at Giant Eagle
I went to the Giant Eagle on upper Peach in Erie just before dinner. I have shopped at that store for 10 years. Today I went through a regular lane since there was no line rather then the self checkout. I bought the Schwebel's Italiano bread and used the Schwevel's coupon from their website. Printable Coupons from Schwebel's Freshly Baked Breads Even though it has my name on it. I was told they wouldn't take it. I was told that I copied it and it was a fraudulent coupon. I told them that it was printed from the Schwebel's website. I even asked for the checkout supervisor, ***, who I have dealt with for the past year. He agreed that it was copied. I told them it was printed on a laser printer which it was. The back had other lists on it since I always print on the back sides. They told me they were no longer allowing ips unless they are Smart Source or Coupons.com . Haven't seen a new coupon policy posted in the store. I was so angry and embarassed.

hate when that happens. I had this happen at Winco. The next day the Winco where I live posted a sign saying that because of the excessive amount of fraudulent internet coupons they will now only accept coupons from magazine/newspapers. So of course when I had a coupon sent to my house straight from the manufacturer of a product the cashier gave me some grief. Not a big deal. I've learned to live without them (ip's). Problem is there are a few people that blow it for the rest of us.

How awful. I can't imagine how I'd react if this happened to me. How sad that stores would start getting rid of internet coupons. That's all I use!!

Gotta love when just a few ruin it for us all ... I guess I don't understand the need for nasty looks and rude behavior towards anyone that is trying to save money ... Called customer service over the weekend. Told that a regional manager would be in contact. Nothing so far.
