So i went today to do a couple of transactions to roll my brawny crt, I've been shopping at this store for 3 years they all know me and know i do the "coupon thing" they've always let me do several transactions back to back, but today i was told that loss prevention is cracking down on them for letting customers do that. Should i bother calling corporate or just go to another K-mart? I really love this store and it's only 3 blocks from my house. Has anyone else encountered this? She said if i wanted to do the other transactions i couldn't use the coupons because it's only 5 per day per card ;((((

I'm sorry that happened to you. If I were you, I'd call corporate and let them know what happened. In fact, I'd even go as far as to speak to someone from Loss Prevention so that you can document what was said and pass this along to corporate as well.

I'm not really sure how loss prevention can prohibit shoppers from doing more than one transaction. What if you forgot something and needed to go back into the store? Are you prohibited from spending your money? That just sounds backwards...

She can do as many transactions as she wants in a day, but can only double 5 coupons per day as stated in the rules. I would see no benefit from calling corp.

Thanks for your replies, I guess ymmv per store, luckily there's another Kmart a couple of miles away and they don't care how many transactions you do, they're happy to get business, I just like this store because it's so close to home.

Sounds like if your doing transactions with the same 5 coupons over and over, then it sounds like its legit. Though if each trany had diff set of products each time, then I would call

What are the scenarios that you were wanting to do?

Maybe I'm reading this incorrectly. Do you want each transaction to double coupons OR do you want to simply roll your CRT? If you want to roll your CRT, you should be able to that. There is no limit on how many times you can redeem a CRT in one day, it simply states one (1) per transaction.

If you're trying to double coupons each time, then it is certainly a YMMV type of situation.

Wouldn't bother calling corp as they will tell you to call the store. As far as the doubling we know that we can double more than 5 in a day. Are you doing them all back to back? I do 2 and then go to the car. Sometimes I do one to see if it works and then I will do 2 more. I have more trouble when I use more than 5 coupons knowing that BxGx free coupons and coupons over $1 will not double. Maybe you can go on your way to some where and then go again on your way back.

No point calling corporate. Store management can limit the amount of coupons. It sucks that's your closest store Maybe try a different store and see ?

thanks for the replies, i'm acutally meeting with the district manager on friday to discuss the issue, the other day i was told i could only use 1 pg coupon per transaction,

from your OP and the last post, seems like you're being "watched closely" @ this store. I hope that if you say the right things (meaning you don't throw any of the store staff under the bus, but just stick to policies), your future shopping trips @ this store may be uneventful. Depending on store management's attitude, there are some stores that are vindictive once they are reported and they can implement policies to the letter for customers they dislike. Hopefully, your meeting with the DM goes well (this is the first time I've read this on KMart forum, good for you!)and the store is notified to stick to the policies and treat all customers the way they would like to be treated.

my past experiences calling KMart CS is not very pleasant, I think they have one of the worst customer service among box stores. They play "pass the blame" game to whom? No wonder the character Raymond in Rainman said, KMart sucks! Indeed, it does
