I like the show for entertainment but that's all. I don't agree with the actions some people are doing on there. I agree I'm not happy with all the changes on Policies since the show first aired and it's been a lot harder to get a deal. like the airwick one @ cvs a few weeks a go. I was there not even 2 hours after the store opened and they were all gone! :/ Ugh. I hate to be one of the people who gets at a store and WAITS for it to open but with all of this going on maybe I should..?

I just get frustrated that they don't really account for cost of purchasing the papers or ordering the coupons. So when they spend their 3.XX it should really be more.

I like to watch EC just for entertainment purposes.

I know that they are not abiding by the coupon rules which bothers me because we try to abide by them and they don't!

Sometimes I wish that show was not on because it makes us honest couponers look bad.

While I really don't know what they mean by transfer (give away, trade, turn into origami?) I know that trading q's has been a habit/hobby for decades. The library back home had a couponers club meeting every two weeks or so. This is back in the dark ages, pre Internet! We'd swap out q's, share deals, talk about the latest products on the market. Kind of like AFC IRL!

In all that time I've never once run into the coupon police. Well not IRL anyways!

The only stores I have are WM, Wags, CVS, and United.

Which store was it that the lady shopped at that had the individual size cereal boxes? My god daughter comes and stays with me and eats sugar cereals and stuff which me being diabetic I don't like to keep in the house. Those would be handy so I don't feel bad and eat the rest of the box of cereal before it goes bad.

I'm trying to understand her logic in buying all that stuff to supposedly finance her move to Hawaii. Wouldn't it be more expensive to haul all that stuff there than what it would cost her to just buy it once she got there?

ITA! Does she not realize Hawaii is out in the Pacific??? How much would it cost to put your huge stockpile on a boat?

Otherwise, I thought she and her family were more likable than most on that show.

I went back and it was her that bought the cereal. If that cereal expires in a year, they would have to each eat more than 3 boxes a day. Crazyyy!

I watch the show with my DH just as entertainment also..we think these people are crazy!I live 4 mins away from my cvs but they don't keep the store stocked and they aren't coupon friendly I actually am willing to drive to the next town over just to shop!

We have our fair share of shelf clearers around here, but that has always been the norm :/ I know which deals I am not even going to attempt LOL
I will just continue along my way of realistic couponing. My stockpile got us through my husbands heart surgery where he lost his job(he was a driver and the disgnosis revoked his license), and I got laid off a month later. We have 2 small daughters. We could eat and maintain our personal hygeine on no income. I am thankful for that. I am back to work, he is still recovering. We don't use any government aid, disability, or unemployment benefits-all because I couponed and it rescued us!

one thing I don't understand is how the cic allows this to go on!I mean alot of these people are using the coupons and not following the rules if the manuf. and the CIC would step in it would be so much better.If I would use a coupon in the wrong manner or steal papers from my next door neighbors house I would most probably get arrested and have a huge fine to pay but they can go ahead and do this on T.V. and no one steps in I just think its crazy how much stuff you can get away with when your on T.V.?!?!

I have to say that thanks to the show I started using coupons
But I also have to say that I found this site thanks to that too!!!

The good thing is that once I got here I learned how to be a realistic couponer and I am very proud to be one... I am very new to this but I learn evry day, I am from Miami and here we dont have stores that double, or triple coupons but we get good deals.

I do get the ugly looks, and after my lst trip to wallmart I decided to let know anyone that stands in the line behind me that I have coupons and that I am going to take a while on checkout... that way I spare them the long wait and spare me the ugly looks...
