| Today's trip irritating!
The most irritating part is actually non-coupon related. Wags never has all my insulin ready when I refill, I take 540 units a day and they do 90 day refills so it is alot of insulin. DH went to pick up the last seven boxes and they charged another copay which was wrong. He went to get the Vicks cough syrup, I didn't notice in the ad it said "new size". He got the size we always get (10 Oz vs the new 8 Oz) but the 10 Oz rang up 4.98 ea instead of 2/$11. I also didn't get the RR. However, considering I got 4 extra ounces and paid $1.04 less I think I broke even. He did get two Mitchums but the cashier kept insisting on doing one trans and DH stood his ground, even tho he couldn't remember why LOL Also my Wags has gotten rid of all the ten cent type fillers so we got a couple of under a buck stocking stuffers! Our Meijer will take RRs. If I have difficulty rolling a RR or finding a cheap filler, I just use them at Meijer. Since Wags offers RR, I try as much as possible to use RR there. I have about 4 stores that I can go to. I avoid the 24-hr store because they tend to not have cheap fillers.

DH just told me when he checked out yesterday he did the single Mitchum first. There was still no one else in line so he started trans 2. Apparently two ladies then walked up behind him and started complaining bc he was using coupons (2 coupons and 2 RR). They said loudly that they were being held up by this guy who has to use coupons, followed by laughing. DH turned around and said "sorry it bothers you I'm trying to save money in this economy. Please feel free to pay for my stuff if it bothers you so much!" this is why I live DH.... Sent from my iPod touch using AFullCup |

LOL @ your DH's comment . You chose well, most DHs probably wouldn't dare a couponing trip!I would definitely go back and ask to speak to the Pharmacist regarding being charged two co-pays for one refill (one 90 day supply) I would take both receipts along with the print outs/labels from the pharmacy that they usually staple to the bag (it should show the quantity). If they don't budge I'd tell them that I might have to take my business to a direct mail pharmacy that will ship ALL of my refill to my home without me having to make TWO trips and pay TWO co-pays (or at least to Kroger or another grocery that awards you points for refills!). Once when pharmacy overcharged me on a co-pay, I called the insurance co ( to inquire if there was a co-pay increase) and then when they realized it was a mistake, they reimbursed me the difference, so that might be another avenue to try. Good luck! |

I haven't gone inside Wags in years so he does all their deals. They finally did give him the money back, the mgr or whoever said to him "all this trouble over a lousy $2.50? Not even worth my time!" sorry but for me I can do a lot with $2.50!! The only stores I have are WM, Wags, CVS, and United. |

I'd totally transfer my scripts to another pharmacy...I'd write a formal complaint to the store about the comment and attitude, and then I'd send a copy to coorporate. 2.50 isn't the issue, it's the disrespect from the workers when their error was brought to their attention. Love your husband's comments to the jealous snotty women behind him.

I want to make a suggestion about walgreens being out of your insulin. Do you have your rx on automatic refill ?? The purpose of this is 2-fold, it would make sure that your rx comes up in the work que a couple of days before you need the refill. At this point if the pharmacy is out of the insulin or does not have enough it gives them time to order it and get it in before you actually need to pick up the rx. It also allows the pharmacy to call your md if the rx happens to be out of refills. As to being charged a 2nd copay, that shouldnt have happened if they entered the partial fill the correct way. Do you by any chance have 2 insurances ?? a primary and then a secondary that the copay gets billed to ?? That is really the only way that there should ever be a chance of an error being made on a pfl (partial fill) rx copay? The insurance company is who assigns the copays to the rxs, even if partial filled. All claims are ajudicated online with the insuance company. I am sorry that a store manager made a rude comment about a refund there is no reason for that. But I do want you to know that walgreens isnt in the habbit of double charging copays. We have quite an extensive system that is in place for partial fills to be in compliance with insurance company rules. Please talk to your RPh about getting on auto refill so that all insulin will be in at one time. Thanks for being a walgreens customer. |

You guys do know that Walgreens doesn't set the co-pays right? These come back directly from the insurance. Walgreens has nothing to do with it. |

| When they collect the copay on a partial filling of the script it is Walgreen's trying to double dip. Trust me I got a Pharmacist fired and her license removed over insulin at Walgreens. I must say I am glad I can go to CVS since that Pharmacist tried to tell me that I could only get 2 vials of 70/30 Humulin a month even though my prescription is for 3 vials. She tried to tell me I would have to come in and get the last one on a separate copay since "I was ripping Walgreens off since my health insurance company didn't pay for all that insulin at once". As I stated above she lost her license and her job. She really messed with the wrong person since I am the one that chooses our health insurance and I know how much is paid by my insurance company to Walgreens/CVS or any other pharmacy.

I am stuck with Wags bc I've already tried cvs and they gave me the WRONG drug one time which nearly killed me :/ I have had problems with Wags in the past shorting my scripts and I never reported them, now I may. I am not on automated bc with insulin you may need it faster or slower. I do give them at least a week notice bc I know it's ALOT if insulin. I've been getting it there for over two years yet it's always a mystery. When DH went in to get the balance of the fill and paid then tried to get the money back the guy said well your last pickup was June so of course you owe. DH explained he was in last week getting the bulk of the order but bc DH couldn't remember if it was Thurs or Fri the guy tells him you were never here. DH said look it up in your computer and the guy said I did and it was June. DH says that's funny bc someone here took my money last week. The guy tells him it must have been at CVS. Really?! I've talked to the pharmacy mgr today and she was pretty much of the position that it was no big deal... I'm of the position that my carrier, the Texas insurance commission and perhaps even the DEA would be the way to go. As recently as March they refused to fill my script as per doc. (I need 12 boxes of Humilin a month, they would only give 8 bc of reimbursement rates). The only stores I have are WM, Wags, CVS, and United. |

Unfortunately with the meds at CVS I had just barely survived a harrowing situation and was zombies out on Xanax and Lexapro. Normally I double check everything :/ 3 bottles of Humilin would be a walk in the park. Unfortunately at my dose that walk would only last 7.5 days. I take 12 vials of Humilin and 12 pens of Humilog a month. Baseline. Wags is ticked bc my insulin alone ( I do take other meds) costs a little over $6,000 a month retail and I'm pretty sure Medicare reimburses waaay below that. Add to that I am on "extra help" so I pay about $40 a year TOTAL in copays. For meds, needles, glucose monitoring slips and all my pills. I am just tired of being treated so poorly, and DH takes the brunt of it bc I don't go there myself but end up dealing with them on the phone. I saved the DMs butt before by letting him personally deliver 26 boxes of syringes I'd been shorted over a year or more when my script was for 3 boxes (wasn't so savvy then I never read the script) and they were giving me one a month which meant I was reusing syringes. So I'm done playing nice with them. The only stores I have are WM, Wags, CVS, and United. |

Why don't you take just Humulin instead of adding Humulog with it that makes no sense. Are the Humulin's N or R because Humulog is like the Humulin R. Most people that use Humulog take Lantus (which I found is useless for me).

#2 my options are very limited by what my insurance will pay for. I used to take other brands which didn't cause burning, etc but my insurance won't cover them. The only stores I have are WM, Wags, CVS, and United. |

I am shocked that they could even submit for a second co pay. Lots of times my pills (for Crohn's disease) will be shorted and I have to come in to pick up the second half. I know if I try to refill my prescription even one day early the computer will not allow it to be under my insurance (so of course I always wait the day). My knowledge is limited to my insurance so your insurance/ meds are obviously different. I am just shocked at the difference!

It wasn't even so much about the mistake. It's about the attitude they gave like it wasn't worth the time... The only stores I have are WM, Wags, CVS, and United. |
