05-01-11 Sunday Newspaper
Did anyone else have coupon insert/circular issues with this week's Sunday newspaper?
There was supposed to be 4 inserts in this Sunday’s May 01, 2001 newspaper: 2 Smartsource, 1 Redplum, and 1 Proctor & Gamble.
Plus, regional inserts of: 1 Pepsico Moments insert with Frito-Lay, 1 Pepsi & more coupons, and 1 insert with Target Store Coupons.
For a total of 7 inserts.
However, I only received 4 inserts in my Sunday newspaper: 1 Smartsource, 1 Redplum, 1 Proctor & Gamble, and 1 Pepsico Moments insert with Frito-Lay. Did anyone else recieve all 7?!
I know that coupons themselves are regional, but what about the booklet inserts? I was supposed to receive 2 Smartsources, but I only got 1.
The Smartsource coupon insert I got was:

Purina Dog Chow or Puppy Chow 4.4 lb Save $1/1 (5/28)
Did anyone successfully receive this particular Smartsouce coupon insert?
Once again, my area did not recieve the Purina Tidy Cats coupon that was included in this week's Sunday paper! I went to four separate places looking for this particular coupon: Walgreens, CVS, CircleS (gas station), and Huck's (gas station) and absolutely none of the newspapers at any of those locations had the 2nd Smartsource coupon insert!
So again, I ask, are the booklet inserts regional?

Sorry, forgot to add that most people seem to have the best luck with getting a newspaper thats from the biggest city around them instead of smaller town newspapers.
I called the big city paper near me and I asked if there is a difference in the inserts of papers you buy retail and home delivered.
They said there was. That explains why the 4 copies I bought at the store only had 2 inserts and the 8 I picked up at local resturants had 4 inserts.
I am now a subscriber. I was able to get the couponer special. 5 copies of Sunday, and 1 each weekday, except monday. Only cost me $17 a month. MUCH cheaper then buying retail also

I live in NJ and I buy six (different) papers every Sunday and believe it or not, the NYC papers are the WORST for my coupons. I get the best inserts from one of the bigger NJ papers (Star Ledger). Out of my 6 papers (two NYC that I like and four NJ), I think only that one and maybe one other had ALL the inserts you described so it definitely varies by publication.
I would have taken any papers this weekend. I live in a small town that gets THREE larger city newspapers. I work nights and forgot to stop on my way home Sunday morning to get any. At 4:00 p.m. on my way back to work I stopped at EIGHT stores and there wasn't a paper to be found. My co-workers couldn't find any either. This was a hot paper and I definitely missed the boat on it. I also think the new "interest" in couponing because of the television has increased the demand.
Someone earlier mentioned about a "Couponers special" subscription rate at their big city newspaper. I'll have to look into that, since it would beat running around trying to find newspapers that haven't been tampered with.
I'm in Maryland, the Baltimore area, and I bought newspapers for the inserts for the first time last weekend. I got both of those SS inserts, the RP, and two P&G inserts. I also got one other random insert, the Frito-Lay one I think. I also got my FIL to send me their inserts, from Pennsylvania, and they had all of the same inserts, including 2 P&G.
