| So mad I could spit nails!!!
I used to work at the same place my husband works. Fortunately I was offered another job and got out but my poor hubby is stuck there for now. Anyway, I know the same people he works with because I worked in the same department. Well, there is one person in that department who thinks he is in charge. Ironically this person is not the brightest bulb on the tree, but he got in good with higher ups so he has free reign to act like a jerk. Anyway, my husband was given a task to do yesterday. He did it. But some time between the time he did it and left some one else came along and reveresed what he did. So he gets this nasty email from "that person" saying he made the department look foolish for not doing what he was assigned. But he did do what he was told!!!! This idiot never even asked if he had done his assignment he just took someone else's word for it that my husband had not completed his task!!! I know this guy and I know what he is about. Right before I was offered my new job he would hassle me all the time too. Like he was trying to push me out of the department. When I told him I was leaving for another job, he didn't speak to me for the final two weeks that I worked (that felt good too!!!). He was mad because he didn't get the chance to get me fired before I left. This is this guy's mentality. Anyway, so my poor husband is worried now that they are going to discipline him over this issue. There is documentation that he did what he was supposed to, but he is still worried. I hate the fact that this particular organization can get away with treating employees like that. It's just not right. They are so abusive there but they stop short of it being illegally abusive. I think my husband should go to Human Resources about it but he thinks it will make it worse for him. I am so mad at that place for doing this to my husband. He's a very good worker, never calls in sick, is on time every day and he gives them 110%!!! Sorry, I just had to vent.

But my poor hubby. It hits close to home because I know exactly how he feels because I used to work where he does (same job too) and I used to get knots in my stomach going back to work on Mondays.

Sounds like your DH needs to find a job at your new company! This is definitely a hard spot to be in. Thankfully, he has you to come home to and does understand what he is going through. That can take a load off a person right there. I would make sure to suggest he back everything he does up twice - keep everything he does that involves this other guy. I am not sure you stated outright, but are you assuming this "guy" was the one that deleted it to try and get your DH in trouble?

I'm sorry that your hubby has to go through this. I hope he stands up for himself. My boyfriend right now is doing the job of 3 people and he doesn't always get EVERYTHING done in a day and his boss yells at him telling him he needs to do it better. I mean with layoff's we're greatful he has a great job but really.. the boss needs to be a little more realistic.

That stinks... my dad has worked in a place like that for almost 30 years. How he stayed I don't know. Now he is just biding his time to retire. I ditto what Deb said... I would make sure that there is someone else to account for his work so that his "boss" couldn't say anything about it... I really truly thank God that my hubby has the most amazingly wonderful job on earth. His boss is the nicest, most understanding person especially with his flex time. My hubby is salaried and the way their time cards go you don't actually write the time you spend each day. Sometime my hubby will work 18 hours one day and then flex off another day or two but you cannot show the work that way so its hard to keep up with. Troy's boss is so amazing to understand when he has to be out sick with Kyleigh and me... he gets to work from home, they bought him a laptop and a company cell phone... I think it helps that the boss' wife is a NICU nurse so when he goes home and tells her what is going on she probably says... "oh... that's BAD!" LOL Because yes, some of the stuff that happens to us... I couldn't even dream it up!
