gr, now im sick! my fever spiked at just over 103. i had the regular flu shot, so im assuming right now it must be swine flu.

I am so sorry, and agree with the other posters. You don't have to give a reason, just get up and LEAVE! It is not worth getting sick just to be polite. We have had the same problem at DD's school this year, I went to school one day to give DD tylenol (headache) and she was at lunch...sitting wit 6 other girls. When I got there they all excitedly told me that one of the 6 had THROWN UP that morning in class in the trashcan, that her entire family was home sick with the swine flu and THE TEACHER DIDN"T SEND HER HOME! I immediately took my DD home, called the principal and informed her of the sick child in the class. Two days later, DD has the H1N1, as does DH! In the end over 3/4 of the class was sick with it in the last two weeks.

DD's school is scheduling a H1N1 flu shot clinic in two weeks, HELLO, almost everyone here has had it already!

Sorry to hijack too, hope you feel better soon...and let the teacher know you are sick! Sometimes it takes a little helpful review of the "rules" of a group, including sick child instructions. Good luck! xoxoxoxo
