 what a horrible day!!!!
Well today has been one crappy day! At 1am my digital cable went out as did my internet. Won't have it back on for 2 weeks or so. Then dh was in a car wreck this morning! Our only vehicle, thankfully he was fine but he is woRried that they will try and make it his fault when this lady rearended him in the emergency lane! Then she bounced off the other side and hit him in the front! Our insurance had lapsed so we know we will be responsible for the fines but I'm terrified if they deem it our fault and we having to pay for a 14000 car! Which hers was totaled after hitting is twice then a pole and a huge sign! Anyway please try and send us some positive thoughts so we can get through this. We struggle to make it day to day as it is and this is really setting is back. (our car is drivable by the way) Thanks for reading.

I am going to be the evil person here...but if you can't afford to have insurance,you should not be driving ....because I can not afford for someone who doesn't have insurance to wreck my car and our life... but I wish you the best... |

Though you can't afford your insurance at present time, you still have gas, water, food, etc and you HAVE to get to a job to make the money to try and dig yourself out. I'm quite sure OP feels horrible enough. There is also a reason that EVERYONE should carry uninsured motorist insurance on their vehicle.

but what shoud we pay more on our insurance for underinsured/uninsured because someone else doesn't carry insurance? and it doesn't cover everything.... and EVERYONE should have insurance on their car ,if they want to drive it....I don't care how bad it might get,you don't take chance with other people's life... |

He gunned it and spun out in icy conditions, missing us until he fishtailed and got our fender. You can guess what the police thought when they heard us in left turning lane+light+damage to right fender from oncoming traffic-  . Luckily the guy who hit was honest. Lets hope the person who hit your husband is just as honest. |

we have michigan insurance & my dh rearended a couple in louisiana..doing less than 5 mph but they still got our insurance for over 500 bucks for damage which dh said there was none. but to my knowledge, if someone rearends you it is automatically their fault. i'm sorry this happened to you and i'm happy that your hubby is ok and nobody was hurt. i wish you the best and things will get better for you. its a hard time for most everyone right now so just keep your head up
