I went to get a chipotle burrito and qdoba and both times I noticed the scoops of beans, rice, chicken, cheese, and sour cream are smaller. Usually when I eat there they are so big I can only eat 3/4 and I am stuffed. Now I eat the whole thing and I am satisfied. They used to give heaping spoons now it is just enough to cover the spoon.
Same thing with girl scout cookies it used to be I ate 6 cookies and had about 3//4 left. This time I was half through. Everything seems like it is getting smaller!

That's a big bummer! I haven't had Chipotle in a long time because DH isn't a fan, but I always loved that it was 2 days worth of lunch!

I know that I read something recently that said the GS cookies were getting cut back in the amount of cookies in the box. They are good, but already overpriced.

DH and I have been talking about companies cutting back on package size and hiking up prices for the last few days. I'm tired of it!

I think things are getting smaller...but for the Chipotle I was just at it was the same... I don't have qdoba near by...and for girl scouts cookies...they have been getting more packaging and less cookies for a while now.

honestly, all I can say is THANK GOD! nobody should eat a burrito that size in one sitting. I wish restaurants would offer more reasonable portion sizes altogether, though.

Those burritos are almost $7.00 bucks. They need to put as much stuff as possible to give me money's worth. Eat half and save the rest for later.

If sizes are shrinking I would think they would offer a lower price since they are giving less food.

there still really big at mine. they also let you add more items for no money at mine. (except meat thats extra)

We LOVE Chipolte! We just ask for extras of the items we really like, and don't get charged unless we want double meat.

I love chipotle and qdoba too! I've been asking for extra on everything I used to just ask for extra cheese. So I guess that is what I'll do. I did e-mail them to ask if this is standard, I haven't heard anything yet.

ppl catch onto a price change faster than one in quantity. take the diaper companies, for instance: in lieu of another price hike last year, they opted to put less dipes in the bigger packages. maybe they felt they were softening the blow.

OR it could be that the restaurant wasn't supposed to be giving out such hefty portions in the first place, and someone at the head of the line told staff to watch portion sizes. as someone who watches calories, I appreciate it when a restaurant makes an effort to keep portion sizes in check with what their printed nutrition guide shows.
