| My microwave went pop
I plugged in microwave and it sparked in the back, I quickly unplugged. Now I'm afraid to use it. Now I can't reheat things. Can I use it still?

Umm, I don't know. But I wouldn't. What part sparked? How old is it? Make sure it isn't under recall, whirlpool hood/microwave combos were recalled (See website for recall info- started a few years back) ...I dont know about others. Maybe you could call customer service of your make and ask them just to be safe- if you should use it or get it fixed, replaced etc. My microwave just had a small fire in it (after making easy mac of all things)----anyway, its 11 years old so I think its time to get another one. Good luck.....countertops aren't too expensive, relatively speaking. Hood combos are several hundred..maybe you can get a deal if you need a new one. I know we're in the market. Good luck- be careful! Linda |
