Wags Good /Bad /Both Letter to Walgreens about my experience?

Last week I did my first deal at Walgreens, and it was a small one. Because I did not want to get confused , a newbie I just did the simple buy 3 rob w/3 coupons deal.
So I went to one Walgreens and got attitude from the beginning. The cashier had to call her manager to see if she ok'd the 3 ip coupons. Then the manager after short of pulling out a magnifiying glass to check out the coupons said I could only use one. She said it was one " per purchase". Now if I'm wrong can someone please correct me , cuz I don't want to look like a dummy if this ever happens again.
Well I told her I was purchasing 3 and that if the coupon said one per transaction I could see why I could only use 1 coupon. So we went back and forth with this. To make this story short, she finally told cashier to scan, walked away. MY 10 rr did not print, I asked cashier, she just looked at me like I was talking chinese and shrugged off my question why I did not get 10 rr and only got 5. Asked for the manager and the manager came back, said that the reason why i did not get my 10 is because I used 3 coupons. That if i would of not used all 3 or just used 1 i would of gotten my 10. WE had some more back and forth, " thats not true" yes it is" etc. She said there was nothing she could do, she did not even try. So i said fine i'll call corporate and ask, she said fine, " i can't do anything with catalina go ahead and call them and walked away" I was cranky, embarrassed,. my son was crying by this time and I was stressed out , I could not even continue with my errands and went home.
I called a number I found online for corp, spoke with someone nice and said she would check into it and call me back. It was around 3pm that day.
Next morning I get a voicemail from the morning Walgreens manager from the store I went to. The manager i dealt with was a lady ,this time a guy called me. So I heard his message as I was leaving the dmv ( re-register to vote) WAs not happy with the answer so I called him and , Yes he was nice But not helpful.
Well I shouldn't say that , but i felt like he knew notihng. He said before he called me , he tried to do the same deal on his own to see if it would give out the 10rr, he said he called his boss and corp to try to figure it out. Well he said that after trying several times he kept getting only 5rr and when he did it w.out coupons it did print out the 10.
He then told me the same thing the ding dong of a manager that i dealt with. If i had not used the coupons i would of gotten the 10. He then in a nice way, cuz i have to say he was very polite, just clueless, said that " i still got a deal anyways"
I kept explaining in detail about the " per purchase" per transaction" wording as I understood it and also how hundreds of other peoplel in other states have been doing this and with hardly no problem. I told him I really wanted to go back to the store see him and try something else. I thought that maybe th enight time one was the problem as someoen mentioned. He said it wont work. So I hung up still frustrated but still persistent.
I decided to go to the other walgreens 3 min away, asked for a manager.
He was really nice, attentive, respectful and heard me out. His first question was "please tell me this did not happen in my store! Did it?" I assured him it didn't and he was relieved because he said if it did he would have to re train his employees about coupon usage and customer service. To sum it all up, we did the transaction again, same products my 3 coupons and guess what? Yup my 10 rr printed out. He tried it 2 different times and both times worked. I was so happy cuz I knew I was not crazy. He told me after looking at my receipt that he knew the morning manager that called me from that store and sadi he would call him to tell him that " hey it does work and you were wrong AND you need to retrain your employees on coupon usage.
My questions finally, i know , sorry so long........ Is do I write a letter to corporate telling them my whole story, WITH names included on all the managers , cashier, and customer service, at corp, i spoke/dealt with?
I want it to turn out to be a nice letter in the end about this new manager because I want to praise him on how he went out of his way to help me.
I told that manager that ( the nice one ) that I know I got a deal , I jsut don't appreciate how they made me ( other walgreens) feel like a criminal using coupons. I mean the manager even held up the coupons up to the light to look for soemthing, not sure what, but she looked front and back and back again , then at me. ughh
What do you all think? I was also disapointed that the person who i spoke with from corp/custmer service said she would call me back and didn't , instead she had the other manager call me. I don't know maybe i'm asking for too much. What would you do?

Go ahead and write the letter. Explain how the manager and cashier at the first store treated you, that the first store manager while very nice and respectful didn't understand how to rectify the situation, and how the manager at store two was wonderful. Include all the good with all the bad.

If anything (seeing as you did finally get your $10RR right?) I would write a nice letter about the helpful store, but I would not waste my time with the writing about the first store. I try to fly under the radar as much as possible at the WAGs around me as I go to at least 5 within a 2 mile radius of each other. I don't want to make a "name" for myself and feel uncomfortable going to shop. This is just my opinion of course. I guess do whatever will make you feel better about it and move on.

Some manager's just don't get it. And however the manager acts is the same way their employees will act. This manager (the bad one) needs more training in customer service & the use of coupons. I would definitly write the letter, explain how they made you feel but that luckily another manager (at a different location) was able to save Walgreen's reputation (in your opinion). Companies need to know how their employees are treating their customers. Afterall, if it wasn't for the customers they wouldn't have a business. Let us know what the outcome is. I'm curious to hear how corp handles it.

I'd write the letter explaining the entire experience, good & bad, then a separate letter thanking the helpful manager--one sent to his store, and a copy to his district manager, so that his kindness doesn't get lost in the negative issue. Even if the coupon-unfriendly store hates you forever, hopefully they'll at least be retrained on coupon policy as the helpful manager suggested, so if you can stand getting the evil eye you should be able to use coupons/get RRs there in the future. I'd shop at the coupon-friendly store as often as possible, though--better to get your deals & a good shopping experience too IMO.
