| Manager refuse my 2/10 q for second time today!!!
Went to cvs today and manager refuse to take my 2/10 q. She told me I can't use the 2/10 q's coz my total was below $10. I know for sure I purchase almost $15. But the bottom line she says, CVS $ off $$ coupons will be used only at the very end of the transaction after all manufacturers and CVS product coupons. She basically told me I was stacking q's coz I alway paid for few penny every time I shop and I can't do that. I was disappointed but did not argue. I paid $2 more than I wanted too. ![]() I got.. 1 Soft&dri 2.99 1 Renuzit triscent 7.99 1 gal. Milk 3.99 Total --- $14.97 + tax q's I use sofr&dri .75 Renuzit 4.00 ecb 8.00 cvs 2/10 refuse this one Has this happened to anyone lately ? Or Am I missing something here ?

That's ridiculous! It's not stacking unless you use more than one x/xx q per transaction. And the q's don't say they must be used on the remaining balance of an order rather than at the beginning. If you use that q first, it's up to you how you choose to pay for the remainder, whether it be cash, credit, or coupons. I would call customer service and ask them if that q has to be used last (of course they will say no), then I'd tell them that this store needs some coupon training. Also, CVS has a quiz for their cashiers (it was posted about a month ago) which includes the point that it's better to err on the side of the customer when it comes to coupons.

That sounds crazy! You may be paying pennies, but I count my ECB's as cash, your still out those, which would make it almost 10!!

Thats happened to me a bunch of times. Now my most favorite store has a sign up stating if a coupon says limit one per customer then you may never ever use it more then once. The cashiers have been told they will be fired if they take them. Also my cousin went there yesterday with a bunch of Dawn and Pantene coupons among others and was told only one like coupon per order, so if you bought 10 dawn you may only use ONE coupon, it's getting crazy.

Hasn't been a "new coupon policy" in my stores. I would call c/s and explain the situation, perhaps the cashier is just misinformed.

That is crazy!!! It seems like it's getting to the point where we aren't going to be able to use q's anymore at all. It may sound extreme, but they are making it so hard on us.

I've only had one cashier tell me that she couldn't take the x/xx because my total was too low after all the other coupons I used! I told her, nicely, that wow, I couldn't believe it because no one else EVER does it that way! I pointed out that the store is getting reimbursed for all those mfg coupons I gave her and she said but, no, the x/xx coupon PURCHASE amount had to be for X $ and with my coupons, my PURCHASE no longer qualified. She was really nice and I didn't want to argue too too much. She did take it that time and it's a store I don't get to often. When I do go there now, I just hope that someone else will be my cashier..... Has anyone ever gotten a letter from corporate about this issue??? Cheapkate --- how the heck can your store keep track of which coupon you've used before??? to make sure you never use it again!!! Don't these people know they are getting REIMBURSED from the manufacturer for mfg coupons --- plus a little extra?!?!?

I'm guessing the cashiers are just supposed to ASSUME I've used it already and refuse it!!!! I just got some $3/15's in a trade and I won't even attempt to use them there. This store has changed managers just recently, the old manager was so cool, she didn't act like I was taking cash out of her pocket when I used coupons, she knew everything and she was VERY young (early 20's) she's now in a store in a not so safe part of town (they have a police car parked in the lot to make criminals think the cop is in the store.........LOL) I tried to get my cousin to call corporate but I don't know if she will, she hardly ever shops this store and doesn't have plans to go back so she doesn't have much motivation. |

That is crazy! Today the cashier refused to take two 2/10 in two different transactions because it says one per customer. She said I could come back tomorrow and use it, but could not do multiple transactions with the coupon. I have been able to use them back to back, even being checked out with a manger before with no problems until now.

I had the same problem today - I was doing multiple transactions and I had already completed 2...at tha point I guess the lady was getting upset so she started reading the Qs and on the 3/15 it does say one per customer. So even tho i was trying to use a new 3/15 on my third transaction she said I couldnt do it. I also didnt argue...theres too many CVSs around here to worry with that....sucks for them tho because I was a little PO'd and since I had planned on doing about 5 other transactions, my cart was full of stuff. I asked if she was going to let me use Qs on any of my other items and she said 'no, not the same Q'. I said OK then well I guess youll have a cart full of stuff to put back. So that might not have been very nice of me but she changed the rules halfway thru my transactions! and i got a little upset. This is one of only two stores I have found with this Ambi stuff so I have to go back...this was the actual manager and I havent seen her before so hopefully I wont see her again! I still feel a little bad about the cart full of stuff |

Oh and this trip started to go downhill with transaction number two because even tho I handed her my Qs in order, she apparently didnt scan them in order. My original total was 21.23, then it was down to $5.24 after she scanned some Qs and when she came to the $3/15 which (she had gotten out of order cause it was on top). She said she couldnt take that Q because the total was only $5.24. I said, no its was 21.23 before you rang up any Qs. She said it doesnt matter, that the 3/15 must have a total of $15 when that Q is scanned or its ineligible on that transaction. I thought she must have been smoking something cause I have NEVER heard that before. So I really made her angry and had her void the transaction, ring it up again, and use the 3/15 Q first. I shoulda known transaction 3 wasnt going to be pretty after that (see above story).

I sent a email complaint tp corporate CVS when a manager refues to take a $4 off $20. I had gotten that in an email from CVS so I was peeved. They have also refused to take a $2 off $10 because they scanned my other q's first. |

One of my local CVS's LOVES coupons the manager told me that their scores go way up when I have all those Q's. I had a cashier tell me she would ring me up anytime because her scores go up because of my massive amounts of coupons!! Guess it depends on it they truly understand coupons or not.

At my favorite store, there is one guy cashier that is aweful when t comes to coupons. He seriously acts like I am stealing all the time. I continue to shop there thorugh because the rest of the time there are awesome people there that are so helpful and have even commented to me how great it is that I use coupons to get things almost free "legally." that being said, she tells me all the time about the rediculous amount of coupon fraud they get. I think it is really due to gross misinformation that the cashiers and even sometimes managers are "afraid" of consequences of bad coupons.

I had a cashier do the fan out thing the other day and saved my 2/10 for last, I thought it was going to beep because after other coupons total was below 10 but it still scanned without a problem

Wow! That sucks! I've had that happen to me only once with this guy cashier is gives me the hardest time about my coupons! At first he would try to mess me up by scanning all my other coupons first and then scanning the 2/10, but surprisingly it still went thru even though the total was not over $10 anymore. The last time he was there he did the same thing. He took my coupons and put the 2/10 to the side. After scanning all the rest of them he picked up the 2/10 and said I couldnt use it becuase my balance was not over $10. I said okay, I just let it go. The second transaction, when I gave him my coupons I asked him if he could scan my 2/10 first and he said no becuase with the rest of my coupons my total wouldn't be above $10! I told him that nowhere on the coupon does it say it has to be $10 AFTER coupons! He said it didnt matter, that doing it the way I was doing it was like cheating!!!!!! I dont know what it is about that guy.... he ALWAYS gives me a hard time. So since then I avoid going to that CVS in the afternoons when I know he's working. I'd rather just avoid the stress!

I have a great store too but theres one guy who ALWAYS has to read everything and make sure I have it and when I went today he tells me about the new coupon policy where my total has to be $10 after all coupons before he even looks at my coupons and makes me hand over everything before he starts scanning. Good thing I had picked up some clearance stuff which made me pay oop 10.83.

I have had the same thing happen lately. My favorite cashier told me that they got an e-mail from corporate with all kinds of new rules, including they must take the x/xx Q's after all coupons AND Extra Care Bucks. This means these coupons are pretty much useless, because I never pay $10 in actual money for a transaction! This cashier has always been so great in the past, taking expired coupons and letting me use more than one x/xx in a transaction if the total warranted that, rather than breaking it up into multiple transactions. I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this. Basically, this cashier says he could get fired if he doesn't follow these rules, so I won't argue. I wonder what corporate would say - I'm anxious to hear their response.

| I've always believed that the computer doesn't "know" you are supposed to spend $10 or $15 or $20 to be able to use your x/xx coupon --- I've accidentally been a few pennies under the amount and the coupon scanned just fine. I also don't think it "remembers" your total before other coupons either. I think it's the cashier deciding that he/she won't accept it, not that the computer won't take it.....

I know it's not just mfg coupons we're talking about, but does CVS remember that they're getting $$$ back for those, plus a little extra?!?
