The Kraft Cat is buy 5 get $5 OYNO. I’ve been buying the Breakstone Cottage cheese doubles (yum). They are 10/$10. So I buy 5 for $5 and get a $5 CAT OYNO.

On Monday I did this twice and paid cash both times..leaveing me with two (2) $5 OYNO.

Yesterday I went back to buy more. I took 5 Breakstone doubles and my $5 OYNO to the self checkout. This was my first CAT experience at Stop and Shop. I have much CAT experience at Shaws. Anyhow, the $5OYNO coupon beeped and said I could not use it on this type of checkout lane and needed to pay the cashier with it. The casher came over and told me it was because my total was $5 and the CAT was $5 so I had to go over the $5. I knew that wasn’t the case, but I entertained her and added a bag of M&M’s (my son’s fave) and we went to her station. She still had problems with it working and eventually did something to get it to work.

For my second purchase (using the Cat) I went to a cashier lined and also picked up a 99c pack of chicken nuggets (on sale) Again, the Cat wouldn’t work. A second person (head cashier or something) came buy, told me to pay for the order in full, took my CAT and just gave me $5.

Each time a new CAT printed. So I still have two (2) $5 OYNO.

So I’m curious if there was just something wrong with the CAT, or if I need to have at least $5 of non participating Kraft products in order for the $5 OYNO to work.

I have been having same issues with $5 cat for the Marie C and Healthy choice meals. My totals were over $5 and cashiers or SCO did not work. I got the $5 back, but its a hassle.

What I found out today, and tried it, is if you buy ONE item that is 5.00 or over, it will work. So if you don't want a hassle at end of deal and want to buy a $5 steak, it will work with the cashier lane ( not SCo)

Its been a pain as I have done this probably a dozen times with the MC meals, since I have coupons its been a money maker for me by adding a 2.50 item such a grated cheese and using MC .75 coupons, my total would be 5.00 and I would roll the Cat, and I would get another Cat back. I have done this anyway and will do it again by tomorrow night, despite the hassle.

Ditto - the $5 coupons and cat need to attach to SOME item over that amount or they will beep. Today the $5.00 HC coupon attached to the rotisserie chicken I purchased because it was $7.50. The $5.00 cat beeped then because I had no other high priced items. They entered it as "cash" and I was on my way.

Sorry about that. I did the deal yesterday and Monday with no problem. I didn't try today. I've gotten at least one of each kind (blueberry, peach, pineapple and apple cinnamon). I didn't try today so I can say if it would have worked for me. I'll try again tomorrow.

It is still working, I just did the deal!

The extra good news is that the Breakstone Cottage Cheese sale is ongoing for another week or so and the cat deal is on till the 24th! Yay!

& I've purchased all of the flavors including Strawberry.. with no problems.. maybe just a weird glitch?

I had the same issue today. The cashier said that it had to be attached to an item $5 or higher. I still ended up doing the deal two times. Each time they put the order through as $5 cash. I wanted to stock up some more on these since my children and I love them. I'll try again and see what happens.
