My GE in northeast Ohio had their outdoor hanging plants and annuals half price. Beautiful moss baskets and other hanging baskets; big container gardens and even a few calla lillies! With the spring we have had, we are just putting plants out anyway

Nice to hear from some neighbors! That Canfield Giant Eagle is my favorite as GE's go! They regularly have the nice brown hang tags showing discontinued merchandise and if you hit it right the meat has coupons too. I have no problem buying meat that is a few days away from its code. That's why we all have freezers huh.

I frequent the Salem GE. The cashiers there are well trained and always pleasant. They also take IPs. Gotta go there this morning before Super Nats start revving up!

The only other GE I've been in is the Boardman one and it is huge. I went there once during my lunch hour to do a catalina deal and almost didn't make it back to work in time!

Oh my. I live on the border between Boardman and Canfield. I thought I was the only one from this area on this site.
Has any of you been brave enough to bring your coupon binder into Canfield's GE. I used to do it when I went to the Doral Drive one but those cashiers got mean about coupons.
BTW, the CVS in Canfield rocks. They always have sales stuff in stock and take coupons w/o hassle, unlike the South Ave one.
Too bad about Cornersburg GE-never went there much because they never had what I wanted from the ad.

Nice to hear from neighbors! I really dislike the two Boardman GE's. They are alwys crowded and I find I spend waay more there. The Poland GE is nice but it's not corporate so sometimes it doesn't have to adhere to the same regs. I have never had trouble using either Man Q's or IP Q's at the Canfield store. I do not do big shopping on Friday or Saturday, though, and try to get there early or late. The cashiers have always been courteous and I try to get everything unloaded so I can watch the items ring up. I have never felt intimidated using Q's there....we are defintely the minority there because I do not recall seeing many people using coupons!!!!

Plant update...all the white potted hanging plants are now 50% off making them $5. For some reason I have been at two GE's three times just this weekend! Stinks when you leave the advantage card at one GE and have to get it !! Rt. 224 has no plants and Canfield has a full front.

Now the plants are 75% off. They still have a beautiful selection, just at Canfield OH Giant Eagle. Calla Lillies for $5, hanging baskets for $5 and individual bedding plants in a 4-pack for just .75. Just went last night, kind of late so there is still a nice selction this morning I am sure!

The Boardman Giant Eagle (next to PetSmart) had some hanging baskets for $3. They didn't have very many though.
