Okay, THIS is the reason why the Hamburger Helper deal isn't working: The monthly catalina is NOT $2 OYNO wyb 3 Hamburger Helpers.

It's $2 OYNO wyb TEN Hamburger Helpers. That's right.

It's not that it isn't printing multiple catalina's, or something's broke with the machine. It's that whoever told us it was 3 is way wrong. Went to GE myself tonight, tried multiple transactions with small orders, and NOTHING. Went to the GE website, and GE has it listed "10", not 3.

the original poster of this deal is not wrong. they changed this deal yesterday morning. it was originally 3 boxes. i complained at my service desk at my giant eagle in austintown and they gave me a gift card for it. i do think it is wrong for them to change the deal the same day as the item goes on sale.

Seriously? That's pretty lame of them. Did they suddenly realize the deals were "too good"? (Much like when they realized the deals by combining eoffers with manu coupons were "too good" as well?)

That is crappy of them to change the deal! The GE that I shop at is independently owned, I recently noticed that they have changed from putting the sale priced refrigerator stuff on the end cap like they used to - now it is the non sale stuff on the end cap..sneaky... GE is going to start losing customers...

Actually I think Catalina messed up somehow because our local Price Chopper chain also had this in their brochures and on their shelf as wyb 3. However when I called Catalina to get my coupon mailed to me because it didn't print they said oh no that is wyb 10 not 3 so we don't owe you an ONYO. I went to CS to get my $2s back yesterday with a copy of the stores brochure and my receipt plus I told them what was going on with the ONYO deal being incorrect. However how could two chains make the exact same mistake, to me it sounds like Catalina gave them bad information and Giant Eagle was just quicker to correct it.

That's an interesting theory!! Honestly, $2 OYNO for buying 3 HH (when they're so cheap to begin with) really seemed like one of those "too-good-to-be-true" deals. Maybe it was a mistake after all.

OYNO = on your next order. They're the Giant Eagle coupons that print out at the register saying you've earned "$x amount off your next order"

HH = hamburger helper

CS = customer service

catalina = any coupons that print out right from the register are called catalinas. They're triggered to print when you purchase certain items (like if you purchase ten hamburger helper's in one transaction this week, a catalina will print out at the register for $2 off your next order).

Yep, all coupons with a value up to 99 cents are doubled. Also, if you check bettycrocker.com right now, they should still have some .90/4 hamburger helpers available to print (doubled = 1.80 off 4)
