This might set a record for the longest stretch without anyone posting. Just not much going on at the big bird. I keep thinking that it will be better next week but so far that hasn't been the case. Sales starting on Thursday are listed on another site and it is pretty pitiful.

I agree. I started really couponing in June 2011... and when I first started GE was awesome with deals.. Lately it seems like every week gets worse!

Which other site? I'm always looking around for the sales posted ahead of time, but have never found a site that did that.

I really wished the deals looked better too. How am I going to get better at couponing for food with Giant Eagle's sales? I'm so jealous of the deals I read at other grocery stores...

I didn't see much of anything in next week's ad. It is really frustrating. They need to re-design the circular....it's boring and they never have good deals anymore.

I couldn't agree more..The sales are lame..I got the 1.00 dog food a couple weeks ago but there hasn't been anything of real interest to me since then...I have been checking out the Kuhns ad..there have been a few things here and there..I once posted a Kuhns deal in the GE forum tho and it was removed...Any way we could get a forum for Kuhns or add it on to the GE thread since GE has been terrible lately and Kuhns is in the same general area as most GE...?

There are 8 Kuhns stores all in Pa. http://www.kuhnsmarket.com/locations/ There have been a few good deals there lately...There is a Bottom Dollar opening in my area soon too, I have never heard of that store but I'm anxious to check it out..GE has been terrible lately...

sad that I'm actually starting to look forward to the new superwalmart being built here. I hate walmart and am loathe to shop there but if i can get deals on groceries i'm gonna have to.

There are 8 Kuhns stores all in Pa. http://www.kuhnsmarket.com/locations/ There have been a few good deals there lately...There is a Bottom Dollar opening in my area soon too, I have never heard of that store but I'm anxious to check it out..GE has been terrible lately...

Yeah, even when there is 1 or 2 good items to buy at GE, I just pass lately... I don't want to shop 2 different stores. I end up doing all my shopping now at Aldi, which is cheaper even without coupons! I do miss couponing, miss GE because they have "the eagle's nest" play place for my older 2 kiddos to go to while I shop. We are moving to an area that doesn't have GE, so I'm hoping the grocery stores there are better.

I used to LOVE the eagles nest!! that was a life saver for moms! my kids loved going to play while i shopped! now they are old enough to work there but they dont.

i havent shopped at GE for anything since they changed their policy. I was considering going to get the coke deal..buy 3-12pks get 1 8pk bottles free..but you cant even use 3 coupons (IP) so it kills the great deal. (you have to buy them in one transaction. I dont know if my store will be sticklers on the limit 2 'like' IP's per day? havent tried it and in this weather i dont want to go out to TRY it and fail. so i'll go to another store.

You can get the coke cheap if you have a CVS near by. Starting tomorrow they are 4/$10 and you'll be able to use all your coupons. Plus the Coke 12pks are included in the "Spend $30 get a $10 gift card" deal. I know shame on me for sending you to another store in the Giant Eagle forum but I know that's where I'm buying mine even without the coupon.

There is a Kuhns near me in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. My closest store is Shop N Save, which doesn't have many great deals, but I've been going there more often since Giant Eagle hasn't been worth the longer drive lately.

Is the bottom dollar opening going to actually be a food one? We had bottom dollars here in Cleveland, but they were (bad) big lots type stores with no food. They didnt last long. Lol.

I've never heard if that store either. I have a lot of giant eagles very close to me and have never seen one Kuhns.

I also have not posted for ages. I still shop at Giant Eagle but my OOP is not nearly as low as it used to be. I cherry pick at several stores. Sparkle, an Ohio store has some good deals, although they do not accept IP's (can you imagine???) and most others don't double the coupons. I also am discourgaed that GE keeps recycling what looks to be the same ad every three to four weeks. The variety of products has been awful. What can we do? Contact GE and tell them to get it together??!!

My newbie is showing, because when I looked at GE's flyer this week.... I was excited to see some deals on stuff that I had coupons for. Guess I am have much to learn.
