I have 2 little boys that don't appreciate my couponing ways so I made a midnight run to giant eagle tonight. Here's what I got.

2 packs of pork chops (5 in each pack)
8 packs of hillshire farms kielbasa/smoked sausage(i got a few diff varities)
9 pounds of fresh chicken leg quarters
2 pounds of fresh chicken drumsticks
1 ten pound ham
24 birds eye steamfresh veggies
5 lysol toilet bowl cleaners
5 lysol spray cleaners
4 lysol cling toilet cleaners
4 ziplock sandwich baggies
1 bag fresh spinach ( i've been craving spinach salad with hard boiled eggs and bacon)

Total:64.16!!!!!

Now, I realize this isn't as good as some people do...but I bought 57 items! I got so much meat that we really needed too. I ordered steamfresh coupons off ebay and got so excited that I made the mistake of buying .35c instead of .50c.....so my overall total should have been lower but I couldn't see wasting the coupons and since I didn't have these stockpiled yet .30c/bag wasn't that bad. Also, another reader posted that the ziplock sandwich bags produced the $2 cat.....not true for me. All in all a success in my book!

in regard to the Birdseye coupons, I ordered 20 $.50 off ones when they were $1.25 for 10 on ebay - I think the current ebay price now is about $4.99 for 20 - probably if you calculated the cost of the coupons, you might find out your out of pocket probably is pretty close to what someone else's might be if they paid the higher price for the coupons. You did a really good job - especially with all that meat.

If I were you, I'd print a copy of the monthly Checkout Rewards (found on the GE website under Save) and take it with your receipt to the Service Desk and tell them you didnt get this coupon or the national one from Ziploc. I dont know where to find the national catalina promotions to prove you were supposed to get one but at least you could possibly get the $2 GE catalina. The GE catalina is good thru April 28th.

Every so often I'll not get one that was supposed to print and I'll go visit the service desk before I leave the store. I've learned to go in "armed" with the weekly and monthly rewards printed out cuz some of the CS folks like to play dumb if you let them.

I did the Ziploc deal 4 times before Wednesday and I got 2-$2.00 catalinas each time.

I taught my daughter about 25years ago about coupons. I would give them coupons for Tropicana juice, candy bars, chips soda etc and then just give them enough to pay for tax. They would buy thier lunch or snack while I was shopping. They soon learn to spread the mony futher with more coupons. Today Texas Mom is a Coupon Queen herself and my youngest helps me give to shelters in columbus. God is good.
