| rain check follow up...was this right?!
I got a rain check last ad cycle for 2/$3 Progresso Broth. I went in to use it the other day, which was easy like you all said! Thanks! So, this ad cycle it's on sale 2/$4. Originally $2.78 each. So as she's ringing me up, she input the $1.50 each price for the rain check. Each one rings at $1.50, and THEN the computer auto deducts $0.78 for each one!!! So my total for each one is now $0.71! I then give her my 4 $0.50/1 mfq's, which double, and walk out with 8 - 32 oz containers or $1.68!!!!! Not complaining, for sure, but I tried to correct her that they should be $1.50 each and she said I should get the sale discount too. Does that seem right? If that's the case I'll start hoping for rain checks on lots of sale items and then use them when there's a subsequent sale, you know?!

Yeah, that's not how it should have worked but you TRIED. No point in arguing when you get a better deal. |

I guess the almighty computer deducts the discount from whatever price is entered. Like PP said, you tried to correct the situation so your conscience is clear. When I have a situation like this where I come out ahead, I just think of all of the times when I have gotten cheated. |

That happened to me last week with a rain check for a different product - I think it was I can't believe it's not butter. Don't think that's ever happened before, but I told the cashier and she said she couldn't do anything about it, and wondered why I wanted to pay more!!

that happend to me on the 10 for $10 on the with the dial hand soap. And all 40 of them ended up being free after the coupons. my coupons didn't even double to the 35 cents because the hand soap was only 64cents after the extra discount for that weeks ade.
