Chef Settler's Ridge Market District Opening Soon

The new Market District in Robinson is opening on 11/6/09. Did anyone else receive an exclusive invitation for the preview party on Nov. 5th like I did? I am going with a friend.

Yea you have to have an invitation for the Nov 5th party, but there is lots of stuff going on Nov 6th Grand Opening as well, and that does not have to have an invitation.

Mine says Nov 6, 7, and 8th and nothing about the 5th. Looks like it might be impossible for me to go. I have no idea where Robinson Twp is

Robinson Twp is towards the airport. Settler's Ridge is right off the parkway west about 10 miles from downtown Pittsburgh. You can't miss it.

I received a neat coupon book with all of the grand opening info as well as I have the insert from the Pitt Post Gazette. I wonder if the Q's in them are only good at the new store. I guess I need to take a closer look. Sounds like fun and I think I will mosey to Robinson Twnshp next week or so. It's only about 50 mins away!

Anyone could of went to the Market District today. They had lots of samples, as I would hope they will be having alot of them over the weekend as well. The only bad thing I would have to say is that they will not be a 24 hour GE anymore. If you go stop over the pharmacy and get a free coffee mug and pen. Also if they have them, they were giving away free grocery bags for rum cake. It is a very big place and we had a nice time checking it out. Although the price of the Betty Crocker yellow cake mix rang up wrong, and then the Wilton cake pan would not come up. So I do not know if they corrected the price and you get it free if it rings up wrong. It came up $1.25 and there is a tag 10 for $10. So then the total messed up my receipt, and gave me 10 cents fuelperks, and I know I did not go over. When I got home I checked it out online and I have a negative balance. LOL So I paid $1.90 and got $3 back after I had to go to the service desk, and she gave me cash. I left with the free eggs, free pasta, 12 pouches of tuna, 2 free grocery bags, 2 free coffee mugs, 2 free pens, and 2 cookie mixes and a cake and icing, and they actually paid me $1.10 cash after it was all done. LOL After he tried to correct the cake price it really messed up the order, they had to void off the free cake pan for the Wilton promo. So I left with a profit and free groceries, and had all kinds of free samples from cheese, dates, salmon, crab, shrimp & various sweets. Hopefully they will have these kinds of things all weekend. So enjoy if you go, let us know how it goes. If you do not know the exit from the Parkway is Ridge Road.

we got our coupon booklet in the mail today. I notice that on each coupon it says "one coupon per customer" does anyone know if that means only one of that particular coupon or one coupon from the whole book.
It's a rather long drive for me and I would like to use all of the coupons in one order.

I used both the eggs and the pasta coupon with no problems. It looks like you can use all of them if you like. I think they do not want you to use free eggs or pasta like 20 times, I think it is once per advantage card. Would be my guess. But in the paper, I do not think they had the free items. We got them by regular mail in a brochure.

I didn't get any coupons for frees. Mine were for off on certain amounts of meat, produce, bakery, and $5 off on $30 order. Must be sending different coupons to different areas.

Yea I got those today in the mail as well, it was a little taped up booklet. But still a good deal to save some money there.

I just realized how I can use these for great deals with other coupons I have. I have coupons for those cherub tomatoes. I could use the $5 off $10, and buy four at $2.99 = $11.96 - 5.00 - 75x4(doubled)=$6 = .96 cents for 4 of them, would be a great deal.

The $5 off $30 purchase will go great with buying something for $5 and using all my free tuna salad coupons I have for to get the Tuna salad free. You just have to make sure they use the $5 off first.

I was wrong about the hours at Market District

It is 24 hours still, but alot of the stuff closes at 10pm. I used my $5 off $30 coupon. I bought 2 coffeemate creamers, 3 bags of shredded cheese, and 20 of the tuna salad packets, and left paying $0. I made sure I used the $5 off first then all my 75 cents off coupons and $1 off 2 creamers took it to $0. I impressed the cashier, she said she wished she had a star to give me, LOL. I told her it was just planning ahead.

I also got the coupon booklet in the mail. I'm wondering if these coupons will work at the Shadyside or South Hills Market Districts since they say "good only at Giant Eagle Market District". I don't know why else they would mail a booklet to my zip code (my neighbors got them as well) considering we're nowhere near Robinson and the Shadyside Market District is only a few miles away.

I was talking with my neighbor who is working there to open it and she said it is crazy! She said that they have done a little over $500,000 in sales each day it has been open.
Evidently, alot of the shoppers are not coupon users.
