| Pleasant Experience Shopping
I had a great shopping trip tonight and thought I would share it with my AFC friends. I usually shop at night but hate to do so on Wednesday's when they are making stock changes for the upcoming Thursday ad. All of the hang tags are down and sometimes the sizes etc. aren't easy to find for a cat deal etc. So, it took me longer than I wanted but when I got to the check out the cashier was so friendly and excited about the Q's I had. She actually complimented me saying I was one of the few who knew what I was doing!! Anyway, they were out of the lime/calcium Lysol toilet bowl cleaner for which I had all of those .75 Q's. No problem...she wrote me rain a check right there and made sure it said I should get a $2 catalina if I bought 5. It was a pleasant experience tonight. Thanks to AFC for helping us all be better shoppers...BTW I am going to call GE in the morning because my take is if I can call to complain then I can equally call to compliment.

That is always nice when the cashier is nice and pleasant and willing to help out in any way. Everytime i go to GE anymore, the expect me to use a lot of Q's and they ask me what I will be getting for FREE with the Q's. I have to go tomorrow at some point to do my mystery shopping but i planned to go to get the foil anyway. Michelle |

For you in the Trumbull county Area, What do you think about them adding in all the self check outs?? I personal hate them.. Went today to Liberty's GE and only 2 registers open one being 12 items or less and the cashier was rude very rude.. and I told her I refuse to use self check outs!! and an older woman even complained for them to open a new register..

I go to the Liberty GE too!!! The new registers are going to be awful. I told the girl the one morning there is going to be so much stealing. No one is going to be able to see anything. And the customer service doesn't pay attention, they are too busy talking to each other. I usually have a decent experience there too. I go there enough they know me by know. They love to see how much I save. I did sing up for the mystery shopping thing too but no phone call yet :@(

| Update to pleasant experience
So I received the rain check for the Lysol lime/calcium toilet cleaners (5 for $10 deal) and the cashier added that I should receive a $2 cat for it. (See my description above.) I had NO IDEA how that would work but I thought I would roll with it. So I did a mystery shopping gig at the Giant Eagle in Boardman one day and decided to use the rain check. I went to the customer service desk because I just knew it would be confusing and it was during the day, not my customary middle of the night shopping!! The CSR was very nice and after about 30 seconds of figuring out how she would do the cat she said she would just deduct $2 off the toilet bowl cleaners' total. I had 5 x .75 mq = $3.75 x doubling = $7.50 + the $2 she gave me for the cat. I came away with 5 Lysol toilet cleaners for .50. Good even by my standards!!! My point here is that we should not shy away from asking for a rain check if the item is out of stock, and if there is an advertised catalina with it we should also ask that it be noted. Having items out of stock happens but we should not be penalized for it. I hope this wasn't a fluke but I will definitely ask if this happens again. BTW the Lysol Lime/Calcium is THE BEST toilet cleaner. Having well water does a job on toilets and this busted right through |
