| Is there a preferred day for shopping?
I always go on Sunday, after I get the newspaper and cut coupons. I chose Sunday mainly because my husband is home and I can go without any kids. But soon I'll have all three kids in some school or another and I am wondering if there is a better day to go. Do you find more in-store Giant Eagle sales or those in-store coupons on some days rather than others? When do you go and why?

I find Sunday GE has trouble keeping the stock full. Like example is items that are not stocked by GE but my the company of the product. I prefer Tuesday night usually. The reason why is I have seen the new ad that starts on Thursday.

Yeah, I go just about any day. Earlier in the morning or later around 8-10pm. Early because the shelves are usually stocked and not too many people shopping - later because the night stockers are working and the shelves are usually full....if they're not there's someone in almost every aisle who can go look in the back. Once the after Sunday church shoppers start coming in though on Sunday's it's a madhouse, so I steer clear! One thing I noticed about my store though - usually around 6pm it's dead for a short while. I don't know if it's just inbetween the coming-home-from-work crowd and the run-out-after-dinner crowd or what!?

It just depends. There are a few stores in my area that have Tuesday values, so we shop for those. I do Saturdays for the items that are on sale for Thursday,Friday, Saturday. (My husband has gotten interested in saving money, so he does the research on Saturday mornings. No CVS or Walgreens shopping on Saturdays. Stuff is gone by then. So Sundays for those after viewing sales. |

I go shopping on Thursday, the first day of the weekly deals. Mostly because everyone is working and the store is not busy. It is the day before every one gets paid. Everything is still stocked at my GE when I go on Thursdays. I will never shop again on Sundays.
