At my albertsons it is only $5 when you purchase $50 worth.

I was just referring to the fact that they were having the gift card promo too. I apologize for not clarifying it further. It is in my area wyb $100 get $20 onyo. However they all work out to be the same 10 for every 50.

Actually at albertsons that is what I got. I got three hundred in am pm gas cards. Then 100 sears for fathers day and $25 jack in the box , 25$ mcdonalds, 25$ officemax, and 25$ subway. I get ice tea at mcdonalds or jack in the box every day so I will and already have used them. I had planned on getting another coupon binder so officemax was a no brainer and subway was for the hubby for a periodic lunch at work. Everything I got gift card wise was what I would have been using this month anyway so I just paid earlier then I would of but now have the gift cards to do it with. In total I got 100$ in Catalinas for albertsons.

I've been wanting to go ahead and do the gift card trick also but find myself a little short to put out that much money at once. I have started a little side stash though so that the next time one of these deals comes around I'll have the money to put up front

One thing I did Christmas time when vons had this deal then was find all of my friends and family who were willing to go in on it and i kept the catalina or maybe u know people who were planning on getting gift cards for fathers day anyway. I just simple asked them if they would pay for the gift card and I would pick it up for them and if they let me keep the Catalina I would let them choose some stuff from my stockpile that I had extra of. Almost everyone just let me have it cause I send stuff there way all the time. Mostly they just had me get them gas cards that they paid for I just picked them up. Talk to everyone u know as long as your a trustworthy person most people who know you will just hand over some cash and u will pick them up a gift card.

I bought 1 kohl's $25 and 1 itunes $25 (presents for upcoming bdays) and got my $10cat. Then used it to buy:

2 litter Pepsi & Mountain Dew, Total Raisin Bran, Bulls Eye bbq sauce, activa blueberry 4pk, 4 go gurts, 4 sobe, 1 banana.
I did the mix & match of 8 or more.
Total Raisin Bran was free just4u item
bulls eye was $.88 just4u and I used $.50/1q
Activa $1.49 used $1/1q
Yoplait GoGurts $1.69 used $1/1 just4u, used $.75/2q
sobe personalized price was $.95 (instead of $1.29) -$.50 (mix&match) = $.45each

I was SO happy when I saw this in the ad. We just had Lowe's come and measure 3 rooms in our house for carpet so I bought a bunch of $50 giftcards to pay for it. Now I have a bunch of $10 coupons in my wallet FREE food -- Sweet!

The only Albertsons we have in broward county doesnt have albertson's cards!! Bad... Idea...doesnt print catalinas... No doubling ... Bad Albertsons

i was not allowed to use 3 $10 coupon for my groceries all at the same time. the cashier said it was written one per transaction. so i split up my transactions. paid $7 more oh well..still ok.
i have a lot of gas points and it says on the flyer it will expire june 18th

You have to watch this. The Randalls (Safeway) closest to us was out of Lowes cards yesterday because a woman bought $800 worth for a large purchase at Lowes.

My refrigerator died, so I was planning to do the same thing so I could save a bundle on groceries to put in my new refrigerator from Lowes. But, the other Randalls stores in my area (Houston) said it was against store policy to sell more than one gift card (with the free $10 coupon) per household per day. Hence, I could not buy the 20 gift cards I wanted - and I didn't get coupons for $200 worth of free groceries. Wouldn't that be nice!!

I am buying one every few days, however, for stores I know I will use in the coming months (Kohls-kids school clothes; Lowes-paint the kitchen, etc.)

I believe tomorrow is the last day. Our store's sale cycle runs Wed-Tues (TX: was the same when I lived in CA).
