Ran into Fry's tonight for something we forgot this morning. Used the self checkout, as I only had two items. Had two 75 cent coupons which I handed to the attendant. They only showed up as 75 cents, so went over to ask him if they said Do Not Double, but they did not. That's when he informed me Fry's is no longer doubling coupons as of Jan 1. (All our coupons this morning were $1 or more so wpuldn't have noticed.)

Well, I haven't been to Fry's since 12/31 to shop. On 12/31 the day after the competitor Q's ended, mine doubled. So it seems silly for them to do doubles for '1' day and then not after Jan 1st. My fave cashier didn't say anything when we were talking about going back to just doubling either and she was talking about the memo they got on the end of the other promotion. We were agreeing we did just fine with doubles too.

Has anyone else been this week?

I went to Fry's on the 6th of January and they doubled all my coupons...saving a measly 69%...I miss triples and competitor coupons!!!!!

Thanks! That's why I'm going to call in the morning. I've had bad vibes with the "night crew" before at that Fry's. We avoid going there after dark usually.

OK - Called this morning. Fry's - at least 83rd Avenue and Indian School is no longer doubling.
Major change in shopping for us.
Can everyone please list their stores that are still doubling?

That is odd that one would and the other wouldn't. Kroger is usually very across the board on their policy.

I just called the 20th ST & Camelback and Cave Creek & Hatcher and they both said yes, they are still doubling up to $1 as always.

You may want to go to the Fry's website and e-mail them asking about their coupon policy. They usually e-mail you one back. I always keep it with me in my file.

OK - My wife called the Tolleson home office and Patty told her, yes, all Fry's were still doubling as before. While still on the phone, she called 83rd and Indian. My wife called 83rd and Indian later and SURPRISE! they are doubling. Was told to bring in the receipt and they would reimburse the 50 cents. LOL. That wasn't the issue. Just wanted to know why at that store we were told by the manager they were not doubling anymore.

Well, that's a relief! It would be tough when I'm out and about to have to remember who/when/where doubles anymore. LOL

I think people may have been confused over the memo they sent out. Evidently they had to sign it and maybe they took it as they weren't doing anything anymore. When I saw it from my fave cashier who'd just gotten it, it was the usual 'clear as mud' memo. I only got a glance but I could see on a couple things that someone could have easily misconstrued some of the things.

Mine are doubling; haven't had any problems. I went last night and a cashier I go to frequently, immediately said, "We're not taking those Albertson's q's anymore." Can you tell I used them a lot???
