| Such an Embarassubg day at Frys
Today I did two more mega deals and I had a coupon for every item except 1 powerade and a Fresh and Easy coupon. When I checked out I gave my Fresh and Easy first. Instead of taking it off the lady asked if I had more coupons so I said sure and handed her the whole stack. She then told me if I used the manufacture coupons I could not use my Fresh and Easy. I said well the Frys by my house gives it to me all the time and asked for a manager. The manager told me the total has to be $30 after coupons, then argued politely, but explained. Then I said just cancel my order I'll go to the other Fry's. I told him I was upset, because it took me a long time to collect my order. I was pushing a stroller and carrying around a basket...........so just picture how exhausting this was. Then I started telling him I was so frustrated and tired from shopping not to mention I didn't sleep , because the baby woke me up last night and I stayed up worrying about my daughter and her friend fighting. So basically since I was exhausted I started to tear up and I got my way. Then I was leaving the store the checkout boy asked me if I wanted help I was pushing my stroller and was going to attempt to push a cart and stroller. Then he started apologizing and offering to get the main manager. I busted out bawling and sobbing on the way out to the parking lot the bag boy hugged me, because I was crying so bad. Anyway I called the main manager and she told me the policy is the total must be $30 after VIP card and I can used the manufacture coupon after and she will notify the Front End Store manager and Cashier. I complemented the kindness of the bag boy. Also the cashier took it upon herself not to double about four of my coupons. Needless to say I won't shop that Fry's for a long time. It was a horrible experience to say the least. A very bad day. I dropped an entire glass frappacino this morning...should have stayed home. Also went to get Walle at blockbuster and someone took the last one right before me....Guess tommorow will be better. Such an embarassing day I couldn't even spell embarassing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

![]() Well, good for you for sticking up for yourself. I'm sure she meant no harm and honestly thought that was the rule. Either way, it's straightened out now! Tomorrow will be better. We have to have those crap days from time to time in order to appreciate the good ones. |

I'm so sorry you had such a rough trip. I'm glad the main manager confirmed that it was after VIP and before coupons. As far as the cashier taking it upon herself not to double four of the coupons, please remember if they actually say 'do not double' on them, they do have a key on their registers to push so that they don't and are within the coupon policy to do so. I never expect them to double those coupons so anytime they do, I just consider it a blessing.
