I spent $3.xx on "homemade" oatmeal cookies for me and 2 coworkers this morning. I blame it on my Harris Teeter High!

What a courageous thing for you ladies to do and share with all of us!! I read in a Good Housekeeping article that if you want to lose $10,000 in a year--all you have to do is spend $27.40 a day on things you don't need. That should put some perspective on your spending fast! Just imagine, if you're only spending half of that...and heaven knows eating out a couple times a week will get you there...that's still $5,000 a year. Could go on a nice vacation with that or buy a new computer, tv, etc. Better yet, save for kids' college or pay off debt! Good Luck to you both!

I broke my fast today.

My mom wanted to go to Michaels... and I had to take her. I was just walking around waiting on her and this employee was moving stuff and said "These are now 70% off". It was all the brick-red household decorations that I've been wanting! I was weak! I got 2 signs ("Family" and "Home" for $5 each, and a candle holder for like $3)

BUT, I am determined to make that much, and then some, on Ebay this weekend to recoup that money!

NO MORE SPENDING! NO MORE STORES! NO MORE!

So, I made back already what I spent yesterday. We are VERY well stocked up now, thanks to Triples. So I'm planning to relax and enjoy not having to shop for anything for awhile!

Mommy of Jack, That is so eye opening. I had no Idea, but it makes sense. I wouldn't necessarily say we are on a fast, but we are broke until the end of next week, so wow, I am learning to stretch food and not buy anything. I may go to WAGS one more time and try to get some diapers, since we do need those..... I am really bad at this.

New week, new resolve! No spending this week!

Confession time...I spent about $26 at Triples but made $45 doing mystery shops! and then I went to Target...spent $8.xx on CLR toys for xmas gifts. AND THEN I went to Wal-Mart...spent $10.xx on Hannah Montana CD for DD, this was her allowance for the past month. She also bought me a white kitkat with her own money!!!! She is the best kid in the whole world.

This week I expect to spend about $500 (deductible) on my car. I backed into the house a couple of weeks ago. What a big dumbhead!

So far despite the set backs, I am loving the spending fast, I have definitely saved gas. I only filled up 1 time last week AND I'm driving a guzzler while my car is in the shop! I know if I’d been in my car it would have been even sweeter!!! I am going to try top keep this up atleast for a few months...not to this extreme but definitely cutting back a lot. I am trying to figure out a way to make money off of my stockpile. Don’t really have enough for a yard sale, maybe make up some gift baskets – I just need to find a place to sell them.

I just checked my Paypal history, and I've made $90.34 since Friday! That more than covers my little "slip up" at Michaels.

OK...just checking in! I had to make a fruit salad yesterday for DDs afterschool. So yet another unplanned OOP expense but I made it as "fruitful" as I could. I had some fruit at home but it would not have been enough for the whole class.

Went to FL becuase it was on the way home...only $6.xx and I got a bunch of stuff!

4 Apples
4 peaches
4 Bananas
3 Land of Frost Luncheon meats
1 bag of Lettuce...craving shredded lettuce with blue cheese and lost of pepper...well i did have to spend money to get it but its better than eating chocolate

I spent $9.80 this morning - sending a priority box full of stuff to my son in CA. But all the stuff was from my stockpile.

School shopping this weekend. But I've budgeted for it... hopefully it won't hurt too much. We have tax-free weekend this weekend, so we're getting as much as possible.

Sears is having a really big clearance sale. Several good deals online...jeans for my 8 yr old DD are 3.99! I am still deciding on whether or not to buy anything this weekend!

I fell off the wagon! Actually the wagon is speeding away at break neck speed. I went to Target for the toy clearance and I sent in my coupon order.... I still feel the fast has been a big success despite my cheats as they were no comparison to my normal spending habits. I plan to see it through until the finish date and will try to re-commit myself to NO SPENDING!

When is your quit date? Mine is open-ended. I want to make it a habit long-term. It's kinda nice now that I've gotten used to it!
