I love the smell of BBW liquid hand soap (so does my family). So when I buy it, I use a trick that I've read somewhere and my family is none the wiser. I keep the empty bottle that we've finised and add half of the new bottle of soap. I fill both up with water leaving about 1/2 inch space at the top. Then I add a small amount (1/4 to 1/2 tsp) of salt to the soap and mix with the cap on. The salt keeps the soap and water from separating. Now, my soap lasts 2x as long.

I have added a little water to my dish soap when it was running low but, I have never heard of adding salt. Thanks for the great tip.

we always refill one of those bottles that the soap come out as foam. you only have to use about a table spoon of soap and fill it the rest with water and it foams and works just fine.

I second grace.maddie. I have the pampered chef bottle that does that and it stretches the soap a long way! Now dawn and other everyday companies make the some of the soaps at the groceries in these bottles! Kroger even has a brand of the refill for them.

I actually like the B&BW soap better when it is watered down. Full strength it always leaves clumps in the sink.

The BBW soap is on sale 5 for $10, I thought that was exciting but this tip is even better. I'm not going to need soap for a loooooooong time.

I just wanted to thank you again, this works so well and you can't even tell a difference. Well the color is different but as for scent and cleaning it's exactly the same. I used even less than half and half mix, I did maybe one quarter soap and the rest water. I'm so excited about it!

I'm another one that uses the foam pumps for both hand soap and dish soap. What's so great about the BBW foaming hand pumps, is you can use your favorite BBW shower gel scents and one bottle of that will last for refills forever! Same with the Dawn foaming dishsoap pump. Love it!
