Do you use the target app for the cartwheel offers?
Has helped me save a lot especially when combining with coupons and cash back apps.
Sure do! Love to stack, stack and stack deals!!

Hi-I've missed every poster for 9 months now, anyone interested in reviving this thread?
Since the beginning, it did best when we repped each/every poster & died when we didn't. What about a "repping" thread with the ideas?

I've never shopped Black Friday before, due to all money going to Medical. Did it! Got one deal I'm very happy about, will share later.

I wrote a year's list of all of the needs/wants I would like to use, prioritized them. I went to each of those sites to see what their Black Fri deals were for 2018, so I can buy in bulk a year's worth of products on BF & Amazon Prime Day. Changing to buy most items in July/Amazon & November/Blk Fri.

Projecting a budget to include "wants" again. Here's my expensive products that are only on sale on Black Friday:

1). Hairprint for dark hair only- a restorer not a dye, 25% off, only time I've ever seen it.
2). Perfect Supplements-Grass-Fed Collagen and vitamins., 35% off.
3.) FlavaNaturals-Cocoa as a high antioxidant medicine for my DH's heart, best tasting chocolate bars I've ever had in a 5 flavored "Library Book" pack, great for gifts. Buy 2/one free.
4). Macy's-for Waterford Crystal was 80% off. Great for wedding gifts.
5). Bend Soap Company-Goat Milk no chemical/additives Bar Soap that I use for my hair, 20% off.

Approx projected savings in a year would be above all coupons, codes and sales I already use.
Save $2,000-$3,000/yr with 25%discount +10% cashback=35%+, not including projected gas and time. Enough to add wants back in on same income.
.

I bought a boatload of cookies that were unusually cheep and I had Q's for the
Keebler ones. Now that they are stored they have to last well into the new year ... '19.

Could you freeze them to make them last longer?

Hi lyn from across the mountains.

Our date nite was our favorite Chinese lunch for $9 each, the same Dinner is $14.50.
DH made 3 meals for from it, 4 meals for me.

By using the egg flower soup we usually throw away-added Trader Joe Potstickers for potsticker soup for one dinner, made extra rice for all of the sauces, it went far.

Made a goal for myself this year to put an extra $10 a month toward my student loan. I just sold an item on ebay and made $10!! Goal accomplished for January

Used almost a whole loaf of french bread that we didn't finish with our dinner on Wednesday, and would have otherwise gone in the trash, to make a batch of croutons to have on our soup tonight!

Decided to forgo any grocery shopping this week and eat from freezer/pantry! I see a lot of rice, beans and eggs in our future!

-Still sticking to that goal of an extra $10/month on my student loan. I cashed in my Checkout 51 money to make that happen in February and March.

-Spent $5.68 at the grocery this week by taking advantage of the rewards program switch at Jewel. Got a gallon of milk, bag of baby carrots, bag of Lays chips, 2 bags of pretzel crisps and a pack of pepsi mini cans. Then redeemed for a .75 cent ibotta rebate for the pepsi.

-made a new years resolution to have less impact on the environment so we have been forgoing paper plates. I used to only buy them on a BOGO at Walgreens so it wasn't costing much but now we are saving the money and the environment!

Did 6 loads of laundry after vacation (whew!) but only put 3 of those loads in the dryer

Picked up cucumbers for .25 cents each at the store today. Already sliced one up and added to our current claussen pickle jar (which was home to only 1 pickle!) Will have these on the side with burgers this weekend

Grabbed a few other freebies while there. Had a free bag of sugar and a dozen eggs on my loyalty card and had a coupon for a free m&m bar and a free package of rx nut butter.

Decided to not purchase granola bars as I realized that I had all the ingredients to make them except chocolate chips. Picked those up for $2.50 on sale and should be able to make a couple batches (24 bars or so) for way cheaper
