Calcium deposits on the refrigerator door…ugh

A little over a month ago we moved in with my mother while she waits for a kidney transplant. She has been on the list for several years and has just been getting weaker and weaker so needless to say her house has become quite a mess. I decided to tackle cleaning her refrigerator today and ran across something that’s got me stumped. She has a stainless steel side by side refrigerator with the ice maker/ water dispenser in the door. The area below the water dispenser and down the front of the fridge has become quite crusted with calcium deposits that come with her water. I scrubbed and scrubbed at that stuff today and it just laughed at me…I believe it said “go home little girl” also. How in the world can I clean the calcium deposits off this fridge without damaging the surface?...I considered explosives but my mother gave me that “look” and said “No!”

Maybe Lime Away? I would check the label first to be sure it's safe to use on stainless steel.

Try white vinegar. I use that to clean the crusty deposits on the humidifier.

I agree with Brook6 - CLR is your friend on this one. Just make sure to clean it thoroughly.
