I went to Safeway and got a good amount of strawberries. I have a small freezer, but want to know if anyone has any idea of an easy way to keep them from spoiling. Ie. recipe or anything. I was thinking a strawberry turnover but I have no idea where I'd start. Any help would be great.

The first thing I think of is to freeze them because I don't know a lot of recipes with strawberries but I do like to make smoothies. I cut them in half and put them on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper. This goes in the freezer until the strawberries are frozen (a couple hours). Then you can put them in a bag in the freezer. This way, the strawberries won't be stuck together.

strawberry shortcake??? easy way to do is use a boxed vanilla cake mix, cut in half or do two separate cake trays, let cool, top with cool whip, then strawberry halves and layer. super easy! we couldn't go home for easter so my hubby invited a lot of military buddies that couldn't go home either and they all flipped for this cake... thank goodness i made two!

My kids would actually help me make this. Thanks for posting it! I'm going to try the suggestion of 3 cups of strawberries and using a bundt pan.

Just cut them put them in a freezer container (make sure to leave about an inch of room at top)

All you have to do is cut them up, make a syrup (Make a syrup using 1 1/4 cups water to each cup sugar. Dissolve the sugar in either cold or hot water; if hot water is used, be sure to chill the syrup before using. Use about ½ to 1/3 cup of syrup for each pint container. Place whole or sliced berries in containers and cover with cold syrup. Package and freeze. )

The bread sounds really good. If my DD had her way, she would just eat all of the strawberries before they spoiled. She sneeks in the fridge all the time and devours them as soon as I buy them.

I ran into a deal at Dillions on fresh strawberries marked down, scooped them all up and made strawberry jam that day. yummmmmmmmmmmmmyyyyy!

I froze the bread and its great after its defrosted also!
